Navy Pier Segway Tour

Ryan was a great tour guide and the route was interesting. It was easy to learn and felt safe.

not everybody / everywhere, we can have such fun experience. segway tour is an activity suitable for big group with different ages, from 3 yr to 70s yr... my daughter is 8 yr old, she is counting her age now. hope grow faster to reach the quired age for having segway tour:)))

We were led from Navy Pier by our guide, Eric, who seemed very knowledgeable and enthusiastic about the area we toured. We toured along the lake, seeing miles of beaches and multi purpose trails in full use by bikers, runners and other exercise enthusiasts. We heard the history of the area as well as saw many of the statues, old mansions, high rises and other sights that have made the area what it is and has become since that famous fire. He explained why there is so much green (parks) along the lakeshore and why it will remain green. As a whole, our tour was very informative and interesting. Our only regret is that we didn't have time for the architecture tour, too. We look forward to doing that on our next trip to the windy city.

Jonathon was our tour guide. He did an awesome job. Riding the Segway took a little getting used to, but once we were confident, we were able to zip around Chicago with ease. Jonathon knew many interesting facts and was very informative. I would highly recommend one of these tours. It was worth every penny!

Jonathan Helvey was our instructor. It was just us two "old ladies", 73 and 75 years old. Jonathan was a good teacher and we got the hang of it immediately. What a nice guy! He did an expert save of my friend when she tipped a little and he kept her from falling. I haven't had so much fun in a long time and it was raining cats and dogs at the end. I want to do another tour when I come to Chicago again.

Our group really enjoyed the tour. We saw much more than we'd be able to see in a 2 hour walking tour, and it's better than a bus tour since you're right there looking at the building/park/lake/whatever instead of seeing it from afar. If you're looking for maximum information from the tour guide about what you're seeing, then a different type of tour may be better for you, but keep in mind much of the enjoyment from this tour is from riding the Segways in the city. The Segways are simple to drive and you'll be coming away wishing you had the ca$h to spend on one.

Eric, our tour leader/instructor was patient with teaching & gave confidence to those who were apprehensive. He has a relaxed confident approach that is comforting. I was happy to generously tip him as did my 2 sisters. However, I don't think he should have had to mention it. A properly posted sign or in your booking literature would be better that to put that responsibility on him. Some people assume the tip is included, or are clueless, but I don't think he should have to ask for tips. Loved the Segway trip as did my sisters and we want to do it again and bring others. One of us wants to actually buy a Segway.

The tour that leaves from Navy Pier covers completely different ground from the Grant Park tour (also recommended). The areas we visited are both scenic and interesting in other ways. Our tour guide Ryan did a great job describing them, as well as leading an experienced group of Segway riders. We'll be back to do it again before too long.

Segways are fun to ride and a good way to tour Chicago. Their staff was very professional and knowledgeable.

Would highly recommend this tour. The guide was great and the Segway was so easy to learn and ride. Great time.
