Upset with condition of the segway

| I had a very bad experience on the Segway tour. I had a defective segway which resulted in a bad fall and almost a second fall. My segway was swapped with tour guides segway after he advised the home base that it was not an operator error, he was getting an error reading on the segway. This could have been a very serious accident. Being that everyone in the group had never been a on segway before, the tour route should have been on more even ground. |

| This is a really great way to see Chicago. We went on the tour that takes you north along the lake and were lucky to have a small group of only four people. The Segway is surprisingly easy to manage and there's a compulsory 'training course' before you start. (I managed to fall off despite this, but only because I became over-confident). It combines the advantages of a walking tour - you can get up close and personal with all the things you've come to see, and a driving tour - you can cover quite large distances painlessly. Well, relatively painlessly - it's a bit hard on the back to stand for so long, though there's a break in the middle that helps if you need to stretch. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable and the whole experience a lot of fun. |

| The Segway tour was a lot of fun. The operators were very helpful in teaching us how to ride on a Segway. The tour was fun and a great sightseeing opportunity. |

| My 13-year-old daughter and I had a wonderful Segway tour. Our leader, Jeff, was quite knowledgeable in his Chicago history and was full of fascinating information. We were cared for in a very friendly and patient manner and had an absolute blast! |

| My wife and I took the Navy Pier tour and really enjoyed it. We were surprised, however, to find that the last third of the tour was on sidewalks (north Michigan Ave and Lake Shore Drive). These sidewalks were frequently crowded and you had the feeling you were bullying your way through the pedestrians. Not that there was anywhere else to go (can't go in the street...), but the experience was definitely different than the first half of the trip where most people laughed and smiled at us as we traveled along the beach on the bikepath.
In addition, I wouldn't really call this a tour... you are mostly focused on the Segway and our guide didn't really point out more than 3 or 4 major landmarks.
Still... very neat experience and wouldn't hesitate to try a Segway again... |

| We were 1st timers with the Segways. We had a great time. Our tour guy was polite, patient and full of information. We would definitely recommend this tour to everyone. |

| To round out the day, the entire office staff toured Chicago on Segways. The challenge to learn something new and follow through with the group was a great way for all of to interact in a different setting. |

| This was a wonderful activity for a group of locals and out-of-towners. Everyone was a first time Segway rider except me. Orientation and training were excellent as was the ride itself. We loved the physical activity and also relished our route through parks, along the lakefront, and beautiful neighborhoods. Our leader was new on the job, but did an excellent job.

| We were met when we arrived by Omar who told us to sit and relax for a few minutes (we arrived 30 minutes early as recommended). Then we filled out some forms and he got us started. He was extremely friendly and encouraging. He instructed each one of us individually on how to operate the Segway. Then he let us practice for about 10 minutes in an open grassy area. This was great fun. The group was only 7 people (plus Omar) which was great. He took very good care of us - watched to be sure that we were all together and that nobody got left behind. He gave us an overview of each segment and he added quite a bit of Chicago history as we toured along. This was great - well worth the cost. We all loved it and would highly recommend this company - particularly Omar. |
