Navy Pier Segway Tour

My daughter and I couldn't have had more fun on her 39th birthday! Our group consisted of her, me and a group of six men. Alex (the tour guide) was very supportive in our 30 min training. We didn't leave until all of us were comfortable on the segways. It was great fun. The tour was informative (though that's not why I took it). On a beautiful lake front day in Chicago, this is the best way to see it. I plan to take the architectural tour before the summer ends.

just riding on a segway for 2 hrs was really fun. Going down the lakefront and coming back the gold coast was a great way to see 2 sides of the city. Most fun I've had on a tour of chicago. My 12 year old had no problem getting up and going and he had a blast. Over all a great time, smiled the whole 2 hours on the segway.

I went with my Mother (77), my sister ( 48) , and myself (51) as part of our first annual Mother/Daughter weekend. It was great to share the experience of riding the Segway . The Segway was an easier way to see the city sites than walking for miles. We can't wait to go again!!

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked the tour but my 16 year old daughter and I both walked away pleasantly surprised. It did not take long at all for us to feel comfortable on the Segway. In addition to enjoying the novelty of buzzing around on the Segway, our tour guide, Alex, did a great job of keeping us entertained and safe on our journey.

Riding a Segway was a blast. Our guide was fantastic. He took time to make sure you felt comfortable. You are given some time to practice riding the Segway. I was with two friends and there were four other people in our group. As we made our way north of Navy Pier, our guide (Omar) was helpful and pleasant. He was not bothered if you needed a little extra coaching and his attitude made the day even more pleasant. There were a few people who do not like the Segways on the sidewalks/bike path but most people were fascinated and asked questions. Two hours was a good time span. All in all, a great time.

This is an incredible way to see the city and many of it's highlights! Our guide was really terrific (thanks Alex!) and did the best he could with a mid-size group of 7 people with varying degrees of comfort on the segway. We went on an extremely busy day (July 5th and a Saturday) and our guide was very calm and reassuring. The Segways are easy to operate, but do make sure that you allow yourself enough time to get comfortable with all aspects of the machine. It truly is a great way to have fun and see the city! We felt it was a good value and provided some great family time together, as well.

My wife and I had a fantastic time on this trip, and have been recommending it to everyone we know. The half-hour training session was invaluable in getting us comfortable on the Segways - Ed was a very enthusiastic and energetic tour guide. The tour itself was very scenic - we had never been down Astor Street, so it was neat to see a very historic part of Chicago. Even having grown up in the Chicago area, it was a great way to sightsee the beautiful lakefront. All in all, it was a very unique experience and well worth the money.

We two couples live in the Quad Cities and have been to Chicago numerous times. We have taken our bikes on the bike trails throughout Chicago, and have come up to enjoy all that Chicago has to offer, but the Segway tour was the highlight and definately one that we will and already have recommended to our friends. Our guide OMAR was fun and informative and truly seemed to enjoy what he was doing. We all felt well educated on the do's and don'ts by the time we stepped onto the Segways. His talking tour of the North Side of Chicago was very informative, and after he had evaluated our skills on the Segways, he gave us some freedom to enjoy them without having to stay in a line like school children. We had one older lady in our group who was a bit slower than the rest of us in getting the hang of the Segway's operation, and he watched her carefully, without acting like she was a burden to the group. He was an exceptional young man who made our whole Segway experience fun and exciting. We will definately do this again with more friends in the future.
