| At $75 apiece, this activity cost $300 for my family. We had a terrific time, spending time together and talking on a gorgeous afternoon. That didn't have much to do with the Segway tour, though. The tour guide was nice enough, but he knew lots more about the Segway than about Chicago. So the "tour" was really just a series of standing in front of fountains and whatnot and giving cute, but rehearsed bits of trivia. A plus: you cover plenty of ground, and get some nice views at some spots.
The Segway itself is a weird machine. Steering it isn't intuitive; most of our group had trouble getting the hang of it. (Left/right is a handlebar ring that felt like a motorcycle throttle.) It's less comfortable than it looks, mainly because you can't shift your feet around the way you normally would just standing around, so your feet go to sleep. Generally, it seems pretty safe. On the other hand, it would be very easy to crash one of these, and the guide (and the liability waivers we had to sign beforehand) made it clear that crashing one would cost us $5,000.
Bottom line: it ain't worth the money. Try the Architectural Boat Tour instead, or one of the great tours run out of the Chicago History Museum. Or, if you want some beautiful views, borrow a bike and go tool around on that! |

| We were trained to ride a Segway at Disneyland. Therefore, we were experianced.
I felt the first time rider in our group needed more on board training.
The 1st generation equipment felt antiquated.
Our tour guide was knowledgeable and friendly. |

| Now that we have done this in our hometown we will do this when visiting other cities. We had out of town guests in from California it was a great introduction to Chicago and then they were able to visualize where else they wanted to go. My kids (16, 18 & 20) want to do the other tour from Navy Pier now. Best part was riding the Segway. We were there 30 minutes ahead of time everyone used the restroom and we started early because the taste was going on and it was very crowded in the streets. Tour guide was
fabulous & fun. Recommended for all ages (our group was 16 to 50) everyone had a great time, bring a camera! |

| My wife and me and our son and daughter-in-law signed up to take the tour together, even though I felt it was a little expensive and was worried that my wife might find it difficult. I was wrong on both counts! We had a great time and with our guide's help everyone quickly learned how to ride. My recommendation is "just do it!' |

| Segaway is an experience on its own. It is hard to compare it to a scooter or alike. It is a chariot with 5 invisible gyroscopic horses but better because after an hour of driving it feels like it is a part of your own body... Surprisingly, the tour was very interesting and informative. Our tour guide Andrew was very knowledgeable and attentive.
A lot of fun for your money. I'll do it again. |

| Great way to spend my 50th birthday!
Really fun!
Great for those either from the Chicago area or for out-of-towners.
Our guide (Laura) was very knowledgable, fun and friendly, and patient as I was learning how to operate the Segway-- plus she sure knows how to handle her machine like second nature. Our guide also was very good at leading a group of newbies around-- even with the extra number of "tourists" because of the Taste of Chicago going on. |

| The main attraction of the tour was to ride the segway, and the experience did not disappoint. The segway is easy to ride and lots of fun. In addition, the tour was informative and showed me great views of the city. You get multiple benefits in this tour. You get the experience of riding a segway and you also receive a tour of part of Chicago. |
