| This was a perfect way to start a Saturday night date and we both thoroughly enjoyed every second of it. Our guide and "host" was delightful and although we're native Chicagoans we saw views never before experienced.
The Segway was a blast. After about 4 minutes we felt it was part of us and we were part of it.
Bottom line, we'd do it again...even with the occassional rain...and we'd highly recommend it to anyone. Matter of act we already have! |

| Anyone considering taking the Segway Experience should be aware of the company policy of refusing to give refunds for any reason. Since their website made it clear that their tours go out in all weathers (rain, sleet, ice, snow), I made and paid for our reservations online for the only timeslot available in our schedule. When we arrived at their showroom it was snowing on and off, with slush on the sidewalks (not hard ice), temperature around freezing. Our assigned Tour Captain had not yet arrived, apparently assuming that we would want to cancel because it was snowing. When he did arrive he said it was too dangerous to go out and that we would almost certainly have an accident, breaking a wrist or ankle, and possibly have to pay $500 for damage to the Segway; he made it sound pretty scary. He did not technically cancel the tour but put considerable pressure on us to cancel it, the hitch being that he would give us a coupon for another tour, good for a year, but not a refund. Then he declared he would not take us out, and left the showroom.
The person in charge, also a Tour Captain, said that if we absolutely insisted on going out, he would close the showroom and take us himself. Rather than forfeit $140, we decided to go, and he cheerfully prepared us and allowed us to modify our route according to our interests. Apart from the slush and occasional snow flurries, it was the highlight of our Chicago holiday. Our guide/captain was informative and cheerful and made us comfortable in our expedition, the Segways were really fun and practical, much faster than walking and much less exhausting. We covered a lot of ground, saw a lot, and had an exhilarating time, well worth $70 apiece.
We do feel, though, that the company's hard "policy" of no refunds under any conditions is unprofessional and a bit sleazy. There's apparently another Segway tour in Chicago, but I don't know what their policy is. |

| I was very leary for a person of my age to be able to ride the Sedgway. Once I was able to get the hang of it, it was loads of fun and I had no fear. The instructors were very patient and pointed in the dos an don'ts. My only wish was that the group could have been divided into those who felt confident riding the Sedgway and those who were chicken and caused problems and were white knuckled.
Too bad we were not allowed in the Mil. Park.
I would do it again if I could ride with confident riders. |

| Excellent. I did this in July as part of company outing, there was about 15 of us then. Last week I had 2 friends in from the Lake Tahoe area and this was one of the sight see tours we did. They loved it. The guide was excellent.

| We (a retired couple) were hosting a young couple from Spain. It's sometimes hard to find an activity which appeals to both age groups and which can accommodate a language barrier.. The Segway tour was perfect. It helped that we had given them an auto tour of the Chicago several days before, so they knew where they were and what they were seeing. Having lived in the Chicago area for many years, we knew and had already given our visitors many of the "stories" which our tour guide would have related. Our tour guide understood that ours was not the type of group to receive too much dialog. I think as a result, we got to see some extra nooks and grannies of the lakefront which we had not seen on previous tours. All in all, a well spent two hours! |

| We recently went on a Segway tour in St. Louis and it was spectacular! With that being said, my expectations of the Chicago tour were very high. this didn't happen. June, who was our guide, had only being working for the Segway Co for two weeks so she wasn't that familiar with the chicago area and she really didn't know how to fill the two hours. I was very disappointed and the price of your tour was not cheap. I am planning on doing a Segway in Denver, Co so I will have that one to compare with also. |
