Although I was a little nervous at first, I had a blast on the Segway! The instructor/tour guides were very thorough & made us all feel comfortable. We have told all our friends about it & it will be a great memory for us!

They say to get there a 30 minutes before your schedule time I don't know why because when we got there it took 3 minutes to fill the form out then they told us to come back 10 min. before are schedule time go figure, then the tour started late plus you only get about and Hour and 40 min. on the segway, but once we got started it was fun the segways are pretty slow at times it gets a little boring. The tour guy Ed did a good job. Next time I would check out the other segway tour in Chicago they are longer and I hear that half way thru the tour they set your segway to go faster, both companies are the same $, make sure you book ahead of time we also enjoyed doing the later tour at 5:00pm.

Our tour was fun and informative. The training was simple and riding the segway was comfortable very quickly. The tour captain was very fun and shared a lot of good information about the sights on the museum campus. Highly recommend this company.

The training was complete and the guides (there were 18 in our group) were helpful and chatty about the scenery around us. Although there were thousands of people in Grant Park we managed not to hit anyone or fall off our Segways. It was money well spent. I would do it again.

Fantastic! We had never been on a Segway before and were a little apprehensive. Everyone in our group was able to learn how to safely operate the units with 15 minutes of instruction and practice. By the end of the tour we were all masters! The tour guide was knowlegable of the city, helpful, fun and enthusiastic. He made the tour even more enjoyable. Great sights and photo shoots on tour. If you're driving to this tour you'll need to find parking. There is a parking garage around the corner from the office.

The Segway tour was lots of fun. The experience was unique. They are easy to learn to drive. We covered lots of ground you couldn't do walking. The best part though was the guide HANNA she was fun, informative and a genuine pleasure to be arround.

Very enjoyable, but I wouldn't want to do it in cold and/or rainy weather.

Anyone considering taking the Segway Experience should be aware of the company policy of refusing to give refunds for any reason. Since their website made it clear that their tours go out in all weathers (rain, sleet, ice, snow), I made and paid for our reservations online for the only timeslot available in our schedule. When we arrived at their showroom it was snowing on and off, with slush on the sidewalks (not hard ice), temperature around freezing. Our assigned Tour Captain had not yet arrived, apparently assuming that we would want to cancel because it was snowing. When he did arrive he said it was too dangerous to go out and that we would almost certainly have an accident, breaking a wrist or ankle, and possibly have to pay $500 for damage to the Segway; he made it sound pretty scary. He did not technically cancel the tour but put considerable pressure on us to cancel it, the hitch being that he would give us a coupon for another tour, good for a year, but not a refund. Then he declared he would not take us out, and left the showroom. The person in charge, also a Tour Captain, said that if we absolutely insisted on going out, he would close the showroom and take us himself. Rather than forfeit $140, we decided to go, and he cheerfully prepared us and allowed us to modify our route according to our interests. Apart from the slush and occasional snow flurries, it was the highlight of our Chicago holiday. Our guide/captain was informative and cheerful and made us comfortable in our expedition, the Segways were really fun and practical, much faster than walking and much less exhausting. We covered a lot of ground, saw a lot, and had an exhilarating time, well worth $70 apiece. We do feel, though, that the company's hard "policy" of no refunds under any conditions is unprofessional and a bit sleazy. There's apparently another Segway tour in Chicago, but I don't know what their policy is.
