Andrew was such a great guide. I've lived here for 5 1/2 years and still learned new things about my city. It was such a fun way to participate in a tour and not as easy as one may think. Andrew was very patient with our group, which happened to be a little larger than usual and involved some folks who didn't have the best control. My only wish is that we could have explored more areas. |

The Segway tour started and ended on time. Adequate instruction was provided to make sure all participants felt comfortable on the Segways. Our group guide was helpful, couteous, and had a great sense of humor. I would highly recommend this activity to anone who wants a close-up view of the lakeshore around Grant Park and the museums. I am looking forward to trying the other Chicago Segway Tours. The participation fee is steep, but well worth it. |

It was a beautiful day. Tour guide was friendly, polite, and helpful. Tour guide gave very little "tourist" history. We were disappointed that there was only a few sentences of Chicago history told to us. We would have been more saisfied with a more experienced guide. |

It was a very different experience. A great way to get around and see the city. Had alot of fun and would gladly do it again. Took alittle while to get used to it, but with alittle practice it was pretty easy. |

I had always wanted to try the Segway. The tour guides were professional, informative and detailed in their explanations of operating the Segway. The backdrop of Chicago was fantastic, as we rode along Michigan Avenue, overlooking the lake shore and the Museum Campus. I would recommend this activity, and will certainly come to Chicago and do it again. |

Well organized, started and ended on time, tour guide made the 2 hours very instructive and fun. Segway was very easy to use-the film makes it seem a little more difficult than it actually is. |

My husband and I took a Segway tour of Indianapolis about a 9 months ago and absolutely loved it. The biggest difference between the two tours was that this time we rode the old model of Segways, and in Indy we used the newer Segway 2. If we take a 3rd ride sometime, we will definitely insist on renting the newer model.
Our tour guide (Mike?) last week was very pleasant and knowledgeable about Chicago. As a college senior studying education, he was quite aware of methods of teaching/explaining and group management.
I had two physical problems, which were largely out of the guide's control.
(1) A young child in our group was eager to speed at every opportunity, and had been vocal about his disappointment that there were speed controls on the Segways. Early in the ride he came from behind me on a curve, sped around and cut me off, nearly causing a collision. Neither he nor his mother apologized, and the guide was unaware until much later when I mentioned the boy was taking chances. I don't know what a guide can do with kids or parents who exercise poor judgment. As a teacher myself, I know what I would do in a class trip situation. Do business tour guides have options? (2) In front of one of the museums, a visitor who was lost in thought, didn't hear Mike's request to let us go by, and walked smack into my Segway. Because of the crowd in front of the museum, I couldn't get out of her way and fell down on my back. (Thankfully, she was fine.) My helmet cracked loudly on the pavement, but protected my head. I thought I was all right because there were no abrasions, but I've had neck, shoulder, back, and arm pain for a week. What more could the guide do?? Probably if he had stood in the midst of the crowd to let us all pass, as he had for everyone before me, his presence would have increased the likelihood that the woman would have observed my Segway was passing. He had just ridden off, since I was the last person in our group. He quickly came back when he heard my helmet hit the concrete,
People make poor choices--young boys wanting more speed, permissive mothers, and mature women intent on seeing a museum. Those poor choices, plus an older model piece of equipment, prevented me from thoroughly enjoying my tour (or this past week). I hope my rambling on with details gives management and guides desire to look for ways of reducing the likelihood that other people will have my less pleasant experiences. |

Even though my son and I live in Chicago, this was a good way to take a day of summer vacation, with a bit of learning Chicago's history of our Lakefront, statues, parks and museums, let alone our growing skyline.
Mike our guide was not only informative , and enthusiastic, but watch-full to our group, a good safe tour, thank you Mike |
