Total Enjoyment of the City

This was a great experience for us, we got to cruise around the city as if we were walking, yet able to go to places in a short time with the Segways. Never having been on a Segway before, it only took 5 minutes (or less) for each of us (two adults and one 13-year-old) to become acclimated and comfortable zipping around on the Segways. Tour guides were very friendly and pleasant, and full of info about the sights. In all, an excellent outing and well worth the money.

A rare chance to ride a segway

We booked for the tour for the opportunity to try out a segway as much as to see Chicago's Grant Park. The machines are very intesting, we had plenty of training, and it didn't take long to master. Our guide was very enthusiastic, and certainly knew her stuff about Chicago. There were a couple of technical problems with some of the Segways, but they were quickly sorted out and I'm told problems are rare. They extended our tour by half an hour which more than made up for it.

great fun but needed a more mature tour guide

The adventure was great fun - on all levels and I would recommend it to all. However our guide Andy was a mixture of fun, information, adventure and immaturity. He gave a great tour and took us places that were different & asked us what we wanted - this was terrific. but when he spent considerable time showing off how he could ride his segway sitting down or backward, but didn't explain to me how to stop quickly when he clearly had the skill himself...it just felt like showing off. He was really wonderful and engaging and then would do something on his segway that I would expect from a teen skate boarder. He stressed over and over that we all should leave 12" inches on either side of us at all times. Makes perfect safety sense. But then when he took us through Millennium Park sidewalks filled with people where it was impossible to keep even a few inches on either side of us - this was thoughtless. When he made a quick left turn on the side walk and my partner tried to follow him but there was no room on either side of her to do so and this resulted in her falling off her segway - this was both thoughtless and unsafe. His manner was charming- his intentions were clearly to give us all a good time - but his immaturity or need to show off got the better of him. We would do this again but with a different guide
