Segway Experience of Chicago Park Glide Tour

Have recommended it highly to my co-workers. Totally fun and we will definitely do it again. Sarah was very cool.

We showed up a half hour early as instructed and ended up waiting 25 minutes to get started, then the "training" occured during the first half hour of what should've been the tour. One Segway in our group of 8 had mechanical difficulties and had to be replaced, so we all had to wait for it to arrive from the shop. The guide made up for lost time by going over the end time by a half hour. Luckily we didn't have a tight schedule so only had to keep our other friend waiting for us for 45 min. The tour itself was nice, and flexible as to where we went. The Segways are easy to get used to and everyone in our group seemed to have fun. The weather was perfect, so we lucked out there - considering Chicago weather near the lake. The Segway staff was nice and competent - no worries there.

My girlfriend and I had never been on a Segway before, so from that perspective, the tour was fun. I was hoping it would have been more of an informational tour. It was by no means a bad experience, I guess I had imagined it to be something different.

Nice people, but the segway is a lot more difficult to manage than they lead it to be, i launched off mine and fractured my right arm big time, they took us through a place down by the water front around a bunch of globe art, the path was to narrow, and when a young child stepped in front of me my only choice was to launch off my segway, i am not awaiting surgery and a long recovery.....think about it long and hard before you commit,, i only completed less than half the tour with my husband, and they did not even offer to refund my ticket, they where more concerned about their liabiality than anything else, calling and wanting to know how i was, as if they really cared.........never again

The activity was great fun as well as informative. The tour leader, Hannah, was a very knowledgeable young woman who handled the group, with diverse individuals, very well. I highly recommend this experience.

THis is my third time, and it's a blast! Despite the skill of our leader, though, the training took too long (8 people). For a 10:00 tour, we did not leave the training area until 10:50. I realize that this is group dependent, but given the number of staff in the office, it would've been helpful for one of them to follow us over, and help with individualized training where needed. Because of this, our leader offered to go over the time by 10 min or so, but we had a committment, so didn't get to go around the perimeter of Millenium Park. Note, a second group that went out at the same time as us (4 people) finished their training at 10:25.

The chance to ride and operate a Segway is a must, Very easy and fun. Out tour guide Jenny was great as well as all the others in the office.

A little daunting at first but very intuitive to use. A bit pricey.

Learning how to use the Segway was as much fun as going around Chicago on it. Tour guide was helpful and knowledgeable about various attractions along the tour.
