Segway Experience of Chicago

We took the Grant Park tour and got a little history about the park, Michigan Ave and the statues along with answers to questions we asked about other areas of Chicago. The tour also afforded great views of the Chicago skyline and Lake Michigan. Our tourguide, Josiah, was fun and entusiastic. Of course the best part: The Segways! They were fun to ride and we covered a significant amount of ground in the 1.5 hours (the first 30 minutes were gearing up and training). If you're interested in riding a Segway I definitely encourage you to take this tour.

What a great way to see the museums and lake shore via Segway. It was easy to learn and we could have never walked the distance we covered. We learned facts about Chicago and the sights that I never knew and I grew up in the Chicago area. Our group consisted of people of all ages so the Segway was definitely an equalizer as I was able to keep up and even pass the younger ones. Our guides were really nice and wonderful. People took our pictures and waved at us as we took our Segway tour. I would highly recommend this to anyone. In fact, I can't wait to do it again!

My wife and I booked this for an upcoming trip to Chicago. We have always wanted to do a Segway tour and this provided us that opportunity! The staff was very helpful and our guide, Josiah, added much to the experience. He was very thoughtful and understanding of everyone's abilities and lack of. Each rider had individual instruction and then we proceeded as a group through the museum campus. Josiah pointed out many things about Chicago and the specific points of interest on the tour. The tour was fantastic and we would highly recommend it. We intend on repeating it the next time we visit Chicago! Thanks, Josiah!

Booked the Segway Experience Chicago at the last minute to celebrate my husband's 50th! It was a blast and our tour guide, Damien, was beyond fun! It was a great way to see the city! Honestly, I don't know who enjoyed who enjoyed the Segway tour the most -- our two teenagers (13 & 15) or us?!

Got to see awesome things and had a great tourguide who informed us of interesting facts of the area. Would absolutely reccomend.

We were a little nervous before our tour, just not sure what to expect. But as soon as we got there and met Ryan we knew it would be okay! It was so much fun. Ryan was a great tour guide through Chicago, although he did get one fact wrong,lol, St . Louis Zoo is still free too Ryan :o) He was awesome guy with a great personality, really made the trip enjoyable! As a person with MS I was worried I would tire out and it would be difficult to do, I was so wrong it was a breeze, I WANT ONE! Thanks Ryan for being so great! A great way to see Chicago!

Segways are a great way to see more sights with less effort. There is a minimal amount of coordination needed but the instructors know how to help with that. They are helpful and friendly -- really interested in the group as a whole -- and will spend some time getting to know you as an individual, if they have time. They help with taking pix too! I found all that refreshing. The instructional video at the beginning is probably necessary for a novice rider but can be a stretch for anyone who does not speak English. In that situation I recommend bringing your own interpreter if at all possible. Riding a Segway is mostly intuitive and no one in our group had any real problems, but better safe than sorry. The urban scenery in Chicago was a highlight of the trip! Plenty of interesting and even some compelling photo ops. A big thanks to our awesome tour guides!

We had a terrific tour guide - very informative. It's easy to learn to operate the Segway and glide - I was a first timer! The Lake Shore trail took us past the three beaches in Chicago - approximately 7 miles in two hours -- great way to see various parts of the city! I'll be doing it again someday!

I had a wonderful time on the park tour- my face literally hurt from smiling so much it was so much fun. Damien was our tour guide. He did a great job of teaching us to ride the Segways, and he was filled with great, fun facts about Chicago and the sites. Plus he had a great sense of humor. If you only have a couple hours in Chicago and want to see as much as possible - this Segway tour is the way to go!

Segways are fast, safe, entertaining transportation and are definitely THE way to see a big tourist area. We all loved our informative, fun tour.

We had been wanting to try out the Segway tour for some time and finally got the chance. It was tons of fun and well worth the wait! We are actually planning to go on another tour now that we know how they work. Definitely suggest the tour originating from Navy Pier as it gives most visitors views of some beaches, parks and other areas that they wouldn't otherwise get to experience. We weren't sure if the weather would cooperate; it all worked out due to the segway company's flexibility. They began training indoors while the rain poured, then moved outside when it subsided. Sarah did a great job with the whole family and provided interesting new information about Chicago sites. We highly recommend this tour for everyone. The kids loved tooling around on the segways. Great job and great fun.
