Segway Experience of Chicago

Sarah was our tour guide and she was excellent this was my wifes and my 50th bday presents from our family's which included this tour amoung other great downtown events. This was the highlight of our downtown weekend Sarah made this special day even more special I would recommend this to all.

The segway experience is new to me since I haven't been on one before. I found it easy to drive after the training. The short video clip showing the accident was a bit shocking but I understand the need to see the clip to make one aware of the dangers inherent in the ride. My experince was informative as saw many places which I added to my MUST visit places. Had Fun!Fun!! Fun!!!

I arranged this trip for family visiting from Canada. It was an absolutely awesome experience. Damion was the best guide. He was energetic and enthusiastic. He continually checked with each individual in the group to ensure they were comfortable on the machine AND enjoying themselves. It was nice to be a tourist in my home town. The sites are awesome and the history is an added bonus. I am a corporate meeting planner by profession and this is definitely a trip I would recommend to my clients. Well worth the money!

The staff was knowledgeable, accessable and cheerful. The tour was well planned and easy for first tiem riders. Recommended without hesitation.

Very enjoyable tour. Our guide Damien, did a great job. The tour allows you to see some of the highlights of Chicago, while enjoying the Segway. They were easy to ride and a blast for our sons.

Wonderful guide. Never before seen parts of Chicago

First time...and it was a blast. The four of us - two local, two from out of town. Easy to learn, safe, went places and saw things we never would have seen. Guides - Katie and Eric - were terrific - friendly, knowledgeable, a real joy. We were always comfortable with them. Will do it again as soon as possible. Very well done - you all should be proud!

I can't believe that my expectations were not only met but really blown out of the water. This is a great trip and a wonderful way to see a lot of the sights of Chicago in a very short time. Our guide, Sarah, was most excellent, very friendly, knowledgeable and made our experience most enjoyable. The Segways are easy to ride and I really can't say enough about the fun experience we had. My wife and her daughter all agree with me that this was THE BEST part of our trip. Thanks Again!

Today (July 15, 2010) my wife and I had the pleasure of having Katie take us(and 6 others) on the Park Glide. The Segways were a blast. Easy to learn, fun to ride. Katie made the trip a joy. Just the right mix of "just riding" and taking a tour. Knowledgable and upbeat, she made it enough fun that we decided to take another tour, an hour later at 5PM with Tim (store manager) over at Navy Pier. This time it was just the two of us with Tm guiding us. We covered miles of lakeshore, and had a chance to see some great neighborhoods with classic Chicago brownstones. A quick zip through Lincoln Park, the LP Zoo, and the conservatory grounds. Take the 5PM tours if you want the best chance at being able to go with just the guide, The small group is the most fun, and the guides can be a great source of local trivia, knowledge and fun. So after more thanh 4 hours in one day on Segways, we finished with wobbly legs and big grins. Thank you Katie (Michigan and Jackson) and TIm (Navy Pier) for a great day in Chicago!

It was a blast! I would do it again...and again....and again.

We did the Segway tour as an anniversary date and had a blast. It was definitely a different and enjoyable way to see the city. Our tour guide, June, was so much fun and made us feel comfortable on our segways. We've been recommending this tour to everyone. Again, so much fun - everyone should do this!

My wife and I, along with our teen-aged sons, have taken several Segway tours in various cities. We always find them very enjoyable and a good way to scout out places that we would like to go back and see in more detail. So much can be seeen in such a short period of time. This tour was exceptionally enjoyable, in large part, due to our tour guide, Eric. He kept the proper perspective of safety and fun and his narration of our tour was quite entertaining. Store location was easy to find, staff helpful and equipment in good condition. The two young gals (Sarah and "Lissa" I think??) who lead our group had good personalities and were very good with all ages. My niece really liked them. Initial training was calm, clear, complete and done in a perfect little park area. I was also impressed with the attention to our safety, especially as we crossed streets. We took the 2 hour park/museum campus tour. Many offer 3 hour tours and I am glad we did 2 hours. Just right for us. There was minimal city information offered but it was interesting. This tour is for those who want a pleasant segway ride with great city views not a Chicago education. One change I would suggest is to make the rest stop sooner. It was about 3/4 of the way into the trip and that was too long to not be able to step off the segway. I have back/disk issues but I also noticed others trying to stand on one leg and move their feet around. Segways are incredibly easy to ride and that is not the problem. It is just standing in one position for that length of time is wearing. The break spot we used was perfect so another solution might be to have two short breaks. I would recommend the company and this tour to either those who have not had a segway experience or for those looking for guest entertainment. My niece has now flown back home to brag to her friends that she rode a segway in Chicago! (Which really makes her old aunt look good! ;)

Our tour guide, Damien, did a great job. He was enthusiastic and involved in answering questions with each member of our tour. His tutorial on learning to ride the Segway was easy to follow and made operating the Segway no problem at all for a newbie. He seemed to take extra time with us so that we never felt rushed through the tour.

We had a fabulous time on our tour with Damien that departed from Navy Pier. With a short proper training, we were off and on our way on the very easy to ride Segway. Damien was an outstanding guide - upbeat, friendly, gave singluar attention to all guests, showed excellent care to our safety and well-being -- and, most of all, made sure we had fun! Would highly recommend a Segway Tour as a great way to see Chicago.
