| If not with a work group, most of us would probably not have thought to participate on this tour. We are glad we did, however our tour guide could use some "polishing". Know your audience so to speak.... When a corporate group shows up I would not recommend giving t hem a student tour guide who is a few weeks into the job. Also, we do concur that the slowest speed seems to be more dangerous than the next speed up, as it continually pushes you upright. Suggest, letting folks switch up after 20 minutes or so.... | ||||||

| I thought the instruction on using the segway and the route the tour took down to the museum campus and along the lake, etc was wonderful!!! Our tour guide was disappointing....trying to be funny.....didn't have much info re: the sights....spoke to us in the sun vs taking advantage of the shade, talking while riding the segways and talking to the air in front of him as we were all behind him... and just went on and on about his personal opinions and stories. I felt as if I was catering to his needs vs him catering to mine as the customer. Not very professional....and after the wonderful reviews I had read about your tours .... and the cost of the tour.....I just felt this was half of the experience that was sorely lacking and disappointing. I do appreciate being given the opportunity to give my feedback. | ||||||

| I really enjoyed the instruction for the Segway, but felt the tour disussion was off-mission. I Had my niece from out of town with me and I brought her because I thought there would be way more discussion about the architectural sights seen. Instead it was more about city politics and how this big city gets things done--not unlike any other big city. I think it was too much about more about that and not enough about Burnham and his plan, and how the architecture contributed to it--or not. The Segway person Derrick was very friendly and helpful and went above and byond. Our docent was very friendly, but should have stuck to architecture an the legacy of the parks, not so much on politics, especially since our group was partly from out of town. Having said all of this would definitely take the tour again. | ||||||

| After returning to Michigan from Chicago I often felt like I want to ride Segway again - to a store, to get from a place to pleace, or just for fun. I enjoyed our tour guide, Omar - he has my deep gratitude for a nice tour. If was fun and educational. He was understanding and responcible and found the time to pay attention to every single participant of you tuor - both kids and adults. | ||||||

| Dave, our instructor, was a great guy. The Segway Tour of the lakefront was cool. Suprisingly, the Segways take more skill than first thought. I enjoyed the challenge. My friends and I would do it again in a heartbeat. -Jennifer, native Chicagoan (NOT suburbanite) | ||||||

| It was great! I mean really great!! Out tour guide Dave was amazing to say the least. We are local and are thinking of planning another tour with more friends that couldn't make it the first time becasue we had so much fun. We passed other tours and it looked like some of the people on tour were kinda left behind. I was so happy we chose this tour. You won't be sorry, we weren't | ||||||

| Our tour guide was great and riding the segways was a blast. We got to see parts of the city that would be difficult to travel to on foot. We would do it again! | ||||||

| Took the tour for the 3rd time in mid September, '07 - LOVED IT! Had a gorgeous day, and the tour was a blast! Went to many scenic areas and had lots of photo opps. If you ever get the chance to do it, don't pass it up. Our ages were 65, 55 and 44, and we all did just fine. After the instructions, the instructor and you are out on the sidewalks of Chicago. After about a 1/2 block, the apprehension and "fear" are gone and you're golden!! What a great way to see the city - I highly recommend it! | ||||||

| This was really a wonderful tour! I would recommend it to anyone. Thank you for making our trip so special. Our tour guide was really great too. I am blanking out on his name, but he's a college student from Detroit originally...just been doing the tours solo for a couple of weeks. He was funny but informative. -The Buck Family | ||||||

| An older gentleman with us became light headed and dizzy. It was a hot day. He said that he really needed to sit down for awhile and he did immediately sit right down on the sidewalk. He looked pale. We all gathered around. My husband offered to sit with him while the rest of us continued on for a few more minutes. Then our entire group went back to that spot. He was feeling much better and was able to finish the tour. But there were a few minutes of uncertainty when it seemed that some 'tourists' would be feeling they did not get their money's worth and yet no one wanted to leave the man whose life might be threatened. Just perhaps there should be a way to call out back-up. My husband had a cell phone and would have called 911 if things got worse. The man said that he had had a heart attack before so he know warning signs. Just a scenario to study. | ||||||

The Segway was fun. Wake up early for the AIA tour

| I've been on the AIA architecture river tour many, many times. It's my favorite thing to do with visitors from out of town. I don't think it's much of a stretch to also want to take the AIA Segway tour, too. OK, I admit it. I really only wanted to do it because I wanted a reason to ride a Segway. It was lots of fund. However, the AIA Segway tour is at 10 a.m. twoce a week. So, my out-of-town visitor and I took a non-AIA-guided tour at 5 p.m. instead. Although the 5 p.m. tour guides were nice young men, I'm willing to bet it's going to be worth getting up at the crack of dawn to take my next visitor on the 10 a.m. AIA Segway tour. On the other hand, if architecture isn't that important to you, anytime you have an excuse to ride a Segway in the company of nice young men is OK. | ||||||
