| The instructions said to be at the site 1/2 hour before the tour started, and we were. We had hoped that the training would start then and leave the full 2 hours to ride. We had a delightful time on our tour. Our tour leader, Sara, was thorough in her explanation of the equipment and safety procedures. She was very patient with everyone in the group. We would most definitely do it again! | ||||||

| The Segway experience is a great way to get otherwise reluctant teens to "play tourist." That was great and I'd recommend it to anyone. Our docent was very nice but didn't have much information to provide. She was constantly looking at her notes (or trying to find her notes) and, in the end, was little more than a traffic cop. I would have liked someone more knowledgeable guiding the tour. | ||||||

| I had injured myself because of being given a huge Segway when I specifically asked for the smaller, more controllable segway but there were none left in the store to use. I really think the store representative should had used the big one and allowed the paying customer, like myself, use the one of my choice. The company leader did this so sneakedly----left me for last in the group (since I was the young guy--and said here is your SEGWAY--the "big boy". What could I say when no other one was available and everyone else had their vehicle and were ready to go? Terrible experience! Never asked me is OK...just gave it to me! I also expressed my concern about the competitor company giving one extra hour of riding compared to this one, but they would not listen. I wish I would had gone to the other company who was able to travel the Millenium Park. etc. My next trip I will not come home with sores on my knees and elbows-----because I will be given the correct size Segway--the one I had specifically asked for paying $70. This company was not prepared for large crowds at all. They must remember the CUSTOMER. One more issue---the brochure said come in one half hour earlier for training---that was not part of the two hours. I have no idea why 45 minutes of the two hours was taken up with training....not according to advertisement. Cleveland, Ohio | ||||||

| Training is simple and to the point. Segway is easy and very fun to ride, and it would take much longer and wear you out to try to cover that much territory walking. This is a "Must Do" experience! | ||||||

| Very good way to get a general view of the highlights of Chicago. We are locals but rarely get to enjoy our city so we decided to be "tourist" and had a great time. I thought I would be uncoordinated but the guide made sure everyone was comfortable with the segways before we left on the tour. I would do it again and would definately recommend it. | ||||||

| Gavin did a great job introducing us comfortably to the Segway and leading the group. We even would like another tour that requires you to do hills, go a little faster, and practice moving turns. | ||||||

| Since the publicity of this revolutionary device first came to my attention, I had always wanted to be able to see what it really felt like to operate one of these gyroscopically balanced transporters. I had read about them, watched them demo'd on t.v. and observed them in the malls and airports. Finding one of the places that rents these out for a few hours allowed me and my wife the chance to exprience this without having to spend a lot of money. My wife was a bit apprehensive and even talked about backing out of the experience, since this transporter didn't look to her like it was safe to even stand on. Boy did she change her mind. The company gives some excellent pre-ride training to build up your confidence and after that, "let the fun begin". We had a blast and wished we could have spent more time with one of these toys. For something different on a nice afternoon date, here's the way to go! | ||||||

Fun on Segway, not as much architecture as hoped

| First time riding a Segway for my wife and I...manic fun! Never knew Segways were so enjoyable. So the Segway part of the tour was tremendous. However, the architectural tour, while great, was not as exceptional as I had hoped. I've been on a Wendella Boat Architectural Tour that was truly fascinating and was hoping this would be similar. Don't get me wrong, the architectural tour was enjoyable...just not exceptionally enjoyable as the Wendella Boat tour. There were fewer facts (e.g., docent didn't mention that the Buckingham Fountain was controlled in Atlanta until 1995 until I asked about it) than I was expecting, and only one photo opportunity. It would have been nice to have more photo opportunities. Also, the time actually touring seemed a bit short (we seemed to start late but still ended at the same time). My wife wasn't really looking forward to the tour but when we started doing the tour, she did a 180 and was a big fan. She really loved the ride and the tour, and as a date, it's pretty cool b/c it's so unique...definitely something she'll remember for quite a while. Overall, I recommend the tour if you like architecture. If you're not into Chicago architecture, just do the regular tour. But either way, the Segway riding part of the tour is the best part and worth paying for the tour alone. | ||||||

| We decided on a lark to try the segways in grant park. what a blast! the guides were friendly and very accomodative. my girlfriend and i ended up in a group of 6 which was about the right size for our adventure. first 20 min or so is learning to ride the segway which was no big deal. after that we were off to fun with our tour guide whisking along the lake seeing the field museum, the aquarium, and millenium park. a bunch of fun - highly recommended!! | ||||||

| After just several minutes of instruction our group was on the move. The tour guide was fun, full of facts, and kept the group moving at a very comfortable pace. Within several minutes apprehension had disappeared replaced by smiles and laughter. Hope at some point in the near future you allow "veterans to go on their own. | ||||||

| It was a perfect day, Sunny and a little breeze! A great day to explore Chicago on a Segway. The guide was easy to understand and he gave great instructions on how to use the segway. By the time we went a block or so, it was easy to feel comfortable on the machine and enjoy the scenery. Our Group loved the whole experience! | ||||||
