| My wife, son, and I really enjoyed our Segway tour. We toook the navy pier tour that went along the waterfront, Licoln park, and some incredible neighborhoods. Our guide, Andrew, was very helpful in gettting everyone on the tour (total of 8) comfortable with their Segway's and feeling safe. In addition, he added a lot of insight telling us about Chicago history and architecture. | ||||||

| My sister and I took two of our children (teenagers) on a weekend trip to Chicago. The segway tour was a highlight of our vacation. Adults as well as children will enjoy the experience. We had a beautiful day and it was a wonderful way to get a quick tour of Chicago and enjoy the lake. Although I was a bit nervous at first, the segways are very easy to ride. We all had a great time and would do it again. We didn't want the tour to end. | ||||||

| My husband and I took our two grandsons who are thirteen and twelve, and we all loved it. The Segways are easy to ride . . . .intuitive and very quick to master. Our guide, Matt, was terrific. . . . very informative and patient . We found the whole experience fun and one we will definitely repeat.. Our grandsons told us it was their favorite day of the summer. | ||||||

| our guide provided us with a great introduction to the Segway PT and led us on a fun trip around the city. this tour was a great way to experience the city in a less overwhelming manner and was much easier on the joints after the scheduled two-hour trip. i'd recommend it to anyone looking for a brief peek at some the popular tourist sites in chicago... without all of the associated admission costs. | ||||||

| Andrew was our guide. He was meticulous, engaging and very patient. He made sure everyone understood the basics of the vehicle. He watched out for our security while at the same time made sure that we enjoyed our new wheels. The tour and the experience was excellent and I woul highly recommend it to anyone. | ||||||

| The Segways were fun! Instruction was most sufficient and tour was laid back (was also a small group on Sunday evening). Points of interest on tour were a bit lacking for those looking for a true site-seeing experience. Cost was $75 per person compared to other tours for $50 per for same amount of time. Overall, was great fun, and would do again at a more competitive rate. | ||||||

| The adventure was great fun - on all levels and I would recommend it to all. However our guide Andy was a mixture of fun, information, adventure and immaturity. He gave a great tour and took us places that were different & asked us what we wanted - this was terrific. but when he spent considerable time showing off how he could ride his segway sitting down or backward, but didn't explain to me how to stop quickly when he clearly had the skill himself...it just felt like showing off. He was really wonderful and engaging and then would do something on his segway that I would expect from a teen skate boarder. He stressed over and over that we all should leave 12" inches on either side of us at all times. Makes perfect safety sense. But then when he took us through Millennium Park sidewalks filled with people where it was impossible to keep even a few inches on either side of us - this was thoughtless. When he made a quick left turn on the side walk and my partner tried to follow him but there was no room on either side of her to do so and this resulted in her falling off her segway - this was both thoughtless and unsafe. His manner was charming- his intentions were clearly to give us all a good time - but his immaturity or need to show off got the better of him. We would do this again but with a different guide | ||||||

| My husband and I went on tour after hearing in-laws rave about it. There was a big group going out on tour, so it was split in half, with each group getting a guide. I was very nervous prior to stepping onto Segway, but after a few minutes my mind was at ease, so I could enjoy the beautiful sunny breezy Chicago afternoon. We went down to the lakefront, rode outside Soldier Field, Buckingham Fountain, and Grant Park to name a few. We stopped a couple of times in case anyone wanted to take pictures or just take a break. The tour guides went through a thorough orientation with us prior, watching a movie on Segways and once we went out, we were watched for a couple of minutes to make sure we caught on to the "experience." I would recommend this tour to anyone that enjoys the outdoors, and wants to do a little sightseeing at the same time. | ||||||

Old Machines

| Segway Experience of Chicago is the second of two segway tours I have taken (the other was City Segway Tours) and the other was far better - mainly because the machines were the newer models that are a million times easier and more pleasant to ride. Segway Experience of Chicago had an older model that turned from a hand lever instead of with your weight. It made for jerky awkward turning that felt more dangerous than the other place's. Both tours had almost no information about Chicago. Segway Experience's guide made some effort to pretend that this was a city tour, whereas the other guide gave up on the charade pretty quickly. But the trade-off for maybe two extra tidbits of information was that the Segway Experience guide was also much more uptight about letting us actually ride more than 10 yards away from him. Until they get some new machines, go for the other place. | ||||||

| Our Segway tour included Olive Park, the lakefront north, then over to Lincoln Park and back to Navy Pier through the Gold Coast. It was nice to take a tour that was NOT the usual Millenium, Grant Park & Museum Campus. We had a great time with our guide Alex. He made us all feel relaxed & comfortable, like we were a group of his friends he was showing around. For those who are comparing 2 to 3 hour tours. If you've never been on a Segway before - 2 hours is PLENTY of time. It's not hard, but if you're not used to one, it takes some concentration. We had such a great time and plan to do it again with other friends. | ||||||

| I only had 1 full day to spend in Chicago and I wanted to get the most out of it. (Actually, I only had the morning since I had an afternoon appointment.) There were a lot of tours available from the double decker buses to the boat tours, I decided to go with the segway tour since I always wanted to try it out! It was a very good experience and learning to ride was not that difficult. You just need to follow the tips given by the guide and you'll be ok, just remember not to be over excited with maneuvering because it takes some time getting used to it. (They give you practice time anyway.) The segway is a magnificent machine, very innovative! Our guide gave a very good tour of the Chicago skyline, history and great tidbits on various things. It was a good ratio also as we were 8 to 1 guide, made it more personalized. I really enjoyed my tour and would definitely recommend it to anyone I know. It made me want to get a Segway, but maybe sometime in the future. : ) | ||||||

| Skyline of Chicago can be seen on your own at Museum of Natural History and Planetarium. Added information from official CAF tour guide interesting. I expected more architectural information, but perhaps my expectations are high. I haven't been on any of the other Chicago CAF tours. Segways are easy to operate and ride. Fortunately (for safety reasons) or unfortunately (skills develop quickly enough you feel you could go faster) the Segways top out at 6mph. Felt safe with helmets and colored safety vests (other organizations on Segways did not seem to have these safety precautions). Portioning out the tour as a whole, riding the Segway was 65% and the CAF tour was about 35%. Nevertheless we had a great time! Gotta do it! | ||||||

| we had a great guide for architecture but he went too fast - not the lecture - on the Segway. I was having trouble with my machine and had to drop back. My husband stayed with me - we called out to the group but no one heard us. We did connect back up at Buckingham fountain. My machine was giving me a lot of trouble - it overbalanced a lot - to the point I fell off three or four times. By the last time the guide tried to get the balance mode back but it was out of commission. He thought it was the battery, but I think it was the machine - I had had a lot of trouble with it. It was my first time on a Segway so I didn't know I was having trouble - I just thought it was me. You brought out a different Segway and reacted very quickly and I appreciate that. I only had the new machine for the last 20 minutes or so. What a difference!!! I would reccommend a Segway tour again, but probably not your company - the machines are pretty beaten up compared to other groups that I saw. I put neutral because your staff was great and we got a new machine rather quickly. Thank you for letting me express my opinion. | ||||||

| We had a great time on our Segway tour with Stan as our leader. His wealth of information was presented with humor and, although we're locals, we saw things that we'd never seen before! It's a great time for out of town visitors or Chicago area residents like us. | ||||||
