Our tour guide (Bert) was very informative regarding the different types of chocolate, where they were from and was happy to make suggestions.
The choices for tasting sights was well rounded and gave a wide selection of different types of chocolate to try.
My group enjoyed the tour and would highly recommend it for anyone like us, who Loves Chocolate. |

I would highly recommend this tour. Our guide, Burt, was as much a treat as the chocolate. He was a wealth of interesting information regarding everything chocolate and then some. The chocolate shops were varied and, of course, delicious. This was a birthday present for my grown daughter but even my 5 year old granddaughter enjoyed it. (We did bring a stroller for her.) Definitely worth it! |

we were very happy with our experience and will definitely try one of the other tours as a result of our positive thoughts on this one. the chocolates were amazing and the tour guide truly helped guide us in our chocolate making decisions. he also was intimately aware of the history associated with each shop. we had a fun time and learned alot during the day... |

My husband Steve signed me up for this grand chocolate tour of the finest shops in Manhatten as an anniversary gift. I met our tour guide Bert in front of Sachs 5th Ave at noon on a lovely September day. There were only 4 other people on the tour so I got to chat and get to know everyone as our well informed and friendly tour guide took us to the best chocolate shops in town. At each store we were given 2 samples of chocolate. The best I've ever had. The tour was 2and a half hours long and each store was a short walk along some of the lovliest streets in Manhatten. There even was time for a restroom stop. All in all I had a great time and I recommend it highly.

We had a great time. Bert (our guide) was very social and knowledgeable about the different shops. He was even able to keep the attention of my 12 year old daughter and her two friends. The only thing I would do differently is the last stop. It was a long walk at the end of the tour and frankly, the shopkeeper didn't seem friendly and the chocolate, in my opinion, was not worth the walk. |

I read about the chocolate tour in the AM New York newspaper and decided to try it out as something different and fun to do for my husband's 30th birthday. The tour exceeded my expectations and both my husband, a true chocoholic, and myself had a wonderful time. Bert, our tour guide, was friendly and informative and the ability to choose the chocolates we wanted to taste at the various shops was awesome. I've lived on the upper east side for 7 years and had never been in any of the selected shops before this tour. I have certainly been missing out. The chocolate was of the finest quality and so delicious that I don't know how I can go back to the supermarket brands!
All in all the day was great. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves chocolate. It's definitely worth it. |

It was a lot of fun and me and my wife learned a lot. but we thought it was not worth the $70.00 if you did like at least 3 more stops. which would be 8 stops it will be worth the $70.00
I say for $50.00 is a better price. |

Went with 5 girlfriends to the uptown chocolate luxury tour. Had lots of fun. Tour guide was great and knowledgable. The stores we were taken to were beautiful. The chocolates were delicious. We were able to pick out 2 pieces at each stop. That is plenty! The chocolates were very rich!! If you go in the summer bring a little bag with with with an ice pack in it to store your leftovers or to put any purchases in. A couple of the stops sold the freezer bags as well. |

I changed my mind about La Maison du Chocolat. I had gone there at least 20 years ago and was disppointed because there was no milk chocolate. But Saturday I found out they do, indeed, have milk chocolate, so I'll be going there (especially since Saks, my favorite department store, stopped carrying Neuhaus). La Maison was the highlight for me; Pierre Marcolini came in second. Richart came in last for me. I was disappointed we didn't visit Martine's (much better than some of our visits). |
