This was a fun tour. Of course the chocolate tasted great and we were encouraged to try unusual tastes. Also, the tour guide was excellent and the tour was leisurely. We learned a lot about how chocolate was made as well as background on how each of the shops got started. The area of the city (SoHo) was also fun to see. Probably best not to do this tour in very hot weather. |

We had so much fun on this tour. Bert, our tour guide was fun and informative. Every piece of chocolate we had was delicious. I can't wait to go on another tour! |

I went on the NYC New Cuisine Chocolate Tour and it was amazing. I tried all kinds of chocolates that I have never seen or tasted before and it was unique experience. I also proposed to my girlfriend on this tour and the tour guide, Bert was so helpful and helped me set everything up and it was perfect! I highly recommend going on this tour, you won't regret it! I am definitely going back on the Luxuxy tour next time! |

Recently, on a very, very, hot Sunday afternoon, my husband and I arrived in Manhattan for a cruise departing the following day. We had never been to Soho so decided we would kill two birds with one stone by taking the Chocolate Tour there instead of uptown and seeing the Soho area.
We arrived at the appointed meeting area and were met by Bert, our guide who informed us we were the only two taking the tour that day! Being true chocaholics, a little heat wave would never have stopped us! The tour was amazing, especially given the private tour we were getting! Bert is extremely knowledgeable and equally personable and entertaining! Being that we own a candy and confection shop, we never thought we would learn as much as we did.
When we return to the city, we will definately take one of the other chocolate tours! |

We visit New York often, but have never done a food tour. This was a lot of fun and not stuffy at all, even for non-foodies. For some people it might be a lot of walking - be sure to wear comfortable shoes and bring water, you need both.
Bert was great. He knew a lot, made suggestions, let us take our time and still kept us on schedule and had a wonderful approach and attitude about life. He'll give you recommendations about other tours and tidbits about the city, too, if you ask.
Take advantage of a chance to try flavors you'd never normally order and have fun! |

I thought the tour was great but the best part was Bert, the guide. He was so friendly and knowledgeable about chocolate. He made the tour fantastic. |

Having taken the deluxe chocolate tour in March my wife and I knew we were in for a treat when we signed up for the New Cuisine Chocolate Tour. We knew the chocolate would be great, but most of all we knew with Bert leading the tour, that the whole expereince was going to be informative and fun.
We brought our nieces and their mom along for this tour and I'm not sure the nieces were sure they would like it, but after meeting Bert and after that first chocolate shop, they were thrilled.
The shops (and the samples) are, of course wonderful, but what makes this especially enjoyable is the way Bert combines just the right amount of information (explained simply and clearly) with all of the great chocolate. He is a truly personable, enthusiastic young man who loves sharing his love of chocolate with everyone. He is the best tour guide we have ever encountered.
We get to New York a few times a year and we're looking forward to our next visit so we can hook up with Bert again for the Union Square chocolate tour.
These tours are more than worthwhile, they are a real treat and one of the highlights of a visit to New York.

I would say this tour should be around $40. |
