I went on the NYC New Cuisine Chocolate Tour and it was amazing. I tried all kinds of chocolates that I have never seen or tasted before and it was unique experience. I also proposed to my girlfriend on this tour and the tour guide, Bert was so helpful and helped me set everything up and it was perfect! I highly recommend going on this tour, you won't regret it! I am definitely going back on the Luxuxy tour next time! |

Recently, on a very, very, hot Sunday afternoon, my husband and I arrived in Manhattan for a cruise departing the following day. We had never been to Soho so decided we would kill two birds with one stone by taking the Chocolate Tour there instead of uptown and seeing the Soho area.
We arrived at the appointed meeting area and were met by Bert, our guide who informed us we were the only two taking the tour that day! Being true chocaholics, a little heat wave would never have stopped us! The tour was amazing, especially given the private tour we were getting! Bert is extremely knowledgeable and equally personable and entertaining! Being that we own a candy and confection shop, we never thought we would learn as much as we did.
When we return to the city, we will definately take one of the other chocolate tours! |

Having taken the deluxe chocolate tour in March my wife and I knew we were in for a treat when we signed up for the New Cuisine Chocolate Tour. We knew the chocolate would be great, but most of all we knew with Bert leading the tour, that the whole expereince was going to be informative and fun.
We brought our nieces and their mom along for this tour and I'm not sure the nieces were sure they would like it, but after meeting Bert and after that first chocolate shop, they were thrilled.
The shops (and the samples) are, of course wonderful, but what makes this especially enjoyable is the way Bert combines just the right amount of information (explained simply and clearly) with all of the great chocolate. He is a truly personable, enthusiastic young man who loves sharing his love of chocolate with everyone. He is the best tour guide we have ever encountered.
We get to New York a few times a year and we're looking forward to our next visit so we can hook up with Bert again for the Union Square chocolate tour.
These tours are more than worthwhile, they are a real treat and one of the highlights of a visit to New York.

I got pretty sick fro all the chocolate= the guide was good, but the chocolate was too rich- I thnk if you charged less and just offered one piece of chocolate per location, it would be better |

This was a great way to taste wonderful chocolate and see the sights of Soho. Burt was a wonderful tour guide and we learned so much about chocolate and the area we were touring. He was very fun, personable and able to answer any questions about the city. This is a great way to explore NYC in a non traditional way. I highly recommend this tour. Prepare yourself for some mouth watering chocolate!!! |

I brought my girlfriend for her Birthday. She is passionate about chocolate and I wanted to do something that she would get something out of. She had a great time and although she knows a lot about chocolate she still learned a lot. Myself, not being nearly as studied on the topic had a great time as well. |

For two chocoholics, we were in chocolate heaven. Curt our tour guide was waiting for us inside the first store. We lucked out and had a private tour, since the other group had cancelled. That was good news for us, but not for Curt. I'm sure our tip didn't help him much, hopefully he got some of the $70 from our tickets. The price was nearly twice that of the Foods of NY tour we took the next day. For the money, this one was not worth it. Although we really enjoyed it, it was pricey. We went to 5 high end chocolate shops. Curt knew everything about making chocolates and knew each shop owner. He gave personal recommendations, but we were able to select two chocolates from each shop. We also got hot chocolate in one shop and sipping chocolate in another, as well as a cupcake. We weren't able to eat it all and started wrapping it to go near the end. It was a great tour, but if you only have time for one - I recommend the Food of NY tours - either Greenwich Village or Chelsea Meatpacking District. |

I highly recommend this tour.
For the price, I had high expectations of the tour, and it by far exceeded them.
The tastings were fantastic, everything from balsamic vinegar chocolates, to curry choco. It was a unique perspective of chocolate confections that I've never even heard of, nor expected to taste so great. Even after the tour, I ended up going back to a few of my favorite spots on the tour, and I'm sure i'll be back to each one on my tours back.
Bert, our tour guide, was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. We had a tour group of 6, which was a great size and great people. They definitely helped with the experience. was explaining this tour to a friend, and my friend asked me, if I could just tell her all the places we visited, and she'd just go there herself, without a tour. But, I told her, the tour experience with Bert was well worth the cost, and I would assume that any other tour guides would be of the same caliber.
I've heard that groups can get as large as 13 people. Not sure if I can say the experience was any better with less people. I i definitely enjoyed the intimacy of our small group. |
