Our guide was friendly, patient, and willing to answer questions. All five shops we visited made exquisite chocolate, but several of the proprietors appeared to be annoyed at our presence. They had to be pumped for information. The very worst was the one in Rockefeller Center. We loved the Irish chocolate and the English chocolate best, probably due in large part to the wonderful and friendly reception we received. The tour gave us an opportunity to explore shops we didn't know existed and we were glad for the experience. The walk between venues was just right. I did feel the tour was overpriced for what we received.

If you haven't taken a chocolate tour in the city, you should. Its interesting to see all the different chocolatiers in NYC and taste what really good chocolate is like. Great for a date!

The tour was very informative and fun. The tour guide was very knowledgable and really cared that we received the full experience of the tour. However, by the 5th shop we were over indulged with chocolates we needed to take them in a to-go bag!

We absolutely enjoyed the NYC Luxury Chocolate Tour on 1/29/2010. I booked the tour for 3 reasons: (1) To entertain my cousin visiting from Germany (2) To celebrate my sister's 40th birthday (3) To treat myself with the love of my life which is chocolate. Even though the weather was cold and windy, we had such a fun time that we weren't even thinking how freezing we were. It was a nice stroll through the city and we visited 5 Chocolatiers. We didn't even know that such delicious truffles existed in the city. We can't leave out the Tour Guide! We had Matt and he was terrific. He was sweet, funny and was a great help with his Truffle suggestions. He even made the tour extra special knowing it was my sister's birthday. Thanks Matt for a fun-filled sweet day. You made our experience very memorable!

Who would have thought there were so many chocolate places in NY City? I choose the tour as a surprise for my wife (a chocolate fan). It was a very different way to spend a few hours in the city. A chocolate sample, a short walk, another sample, and so on. Matt, our guide, was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. Highly recommend it.

Our guide was prompt, personable and knowledgable. The chocolates were delicious, especially the hot chocolate(s). Definitely wear comfortable shoes and bring a bottle of water to clean your palette between stops.

This tour was a wonderful way to spend 2 hours in the City. Matt, our guide was knowledgeable and interesting to talk to. He gave us very wise information about not trying to eat all the samples as you go - it is amazingly rich and filling. We had the opportunity to purchase chocolate at each shop we visited with a 10% discount and so we finished the tour with lots of great chocolate to bring home. The walk was an easy one and there was just enough time at each location to enjoy each shop. I give this my highest recommendation!

The tour guy (Daniella) was great. The tour was highly disappointing. All we did was go to five chocolate shops to get samples. No one showed us anything about how the chocolate was made, packaged, distributed etc. Only the first shop owner really talked to us (and that was because we got there early and asked him some questions) the rest just nodded and said hello. We felt ripped off for the price we paid and will tell everyone not to take this tour or any of the other chocolate tours. It seemed as though it was simply a way to get us into the stores, hoping we would buy some chocolate, which we would have done if we had been given a tour and treated like people. Again the guide was great and it was not his fault we are so disappointed. We will not do any more tours with Zerve.

Our tour guide Burt was just great. From the minute we met him at the 1st chocolate shop, he was very engaging. He definitely knows his chocolate history, but at the same time, didn't bore with too much detail, and allowed for plenty of eating and tasting time. The weather in the city was rainy, cold, and windy, and the city was packed with shopping tourists for the Christmas season, but even with a group of 13 people, he managed to keep us all in good spirits and somehow managed to keep us together! I found out about this tour online by mistake, but it turned out to be a great mistake. I highly recommend it to any chocolate lover, or to anyone who has a "special someone" who is a chocolate lover.
