PURE ENJOYMENT

Thank You Thank You Thank You!!! You became the highlight of my trip! Brad was so fun, sweet and knowledgeable, a PURE ENJOYMENT. From my running late and his being so helpful in making sure I could catchup with the group to the great descriptions of what we were eating (and eating and eating). I know more about chocolate then ever and have now tasted some of the best. I came away so full that the idea of dinner was pushed off till after 10pm. I also was able to buy some of the best gifts that my friends will ever receive so that they too can experience what I did!! Thank you.

Exquisite and Delicious

The tour guide was a lot of fun. He knows how the chocolate is made, how it should taste, how it should be prepared, and he clearly loves it. He knows the neighborhood and all the people. He gave us great recomendations on what to sample. We had so many samples that we could not eat them all. Most we really delicious and many were very interesting combinations not normally associated with chocolate. We love to try new foods. This tour is great for those who love to experiment and for those who just want a lot of great chocolate. My husband and I were on this tour without children, but I think the kids would also have liked it. Thanks for a great tour.

Loved walking around SoHo! Loved the shops! LOVED the chocolate. The perfect tour to learn a little, laugh a lot, and have fun. Bert was great and even helped us plan what to see after the tour.

We absolutely loved the tour! Highly recommended!

We loved Burt! He was very knowledgeable and personable. He was easy to listen to and was very patient with the group. We went to 5 terrific places to taste different kinds of chocolate and the experience was surprisingly interesting and marvelously tasty. It was a "throw-your-head-back-and-moan" eating experience. The kids (18 and 15) were also excited. We picked out our chocolate pieces, moved to an open space, counted to 3 and popped the delectable into our mouths together.....This tour is a must-have for adventurous families or groups who are celebrating a fun event (We were there for Daniel's birthday).

ALOT OF CHOCOLATE
Sat, Oct 4, 08   12:00 PM woody1834 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
Lots of different types of chocolate to choose from; almost too many choices. The chocolatiers were very diverse which was interesting and the tour guide, Bert, was excellent and friendly. Nice locales as well like Saks, Bloomingdales, Rockefeller Center area and Park Avenue. No negatives to report; nice way to spend the day in the city.

Excellent Tour

Our guide Bert was very down to earth and very easy to talk to. It was like we had known him forever. On top of his knowledge of chocolate, Bert was also able to tell us alot about the different areas in the city and give recommendations of other activities or places to see. All around a wonderful tour and a great alternative to the other types of tourist activities in the city. The tour was unique and we expecially loved the chocolate factory. We were greeted by the chocolatier who was friendly, very informative and attentive. We were exposed to chocolate we might have not tried otherwise and also had a chance to meet the owner of the factory!

Wow! What a chocoholic's dream!

This is a fabulous tour that should not be missed! Our well informed, personable and wonderfully funny guide, Bert, was the best ever! We stopped at 5 Chocolate shops that each had something different to offer, and he explained each style & flavor in detail to us so we could make informed decisions for our tastings. It was a walking tour that seemed conveniently spread out in Soho so that we got just enough exercise between chocolate binging...I mean tastings. We had such a variety...who knew there was a "green olive" chocolate...and I loved it! We even tasted chocolates that were so beautifully decorated that it seemed a crime to eat them (but we did)...we had others that were filled with liquid Champagne! We will definitely do this again on our next visit...and you should, too! Don't let our ages fool you...we are still young in body & mind.

was at pickup early but the tour missed me
Sat, Sep 20, 08   12:00 PM kb1381 Male 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I was there early, very much looking forward to the tour, but somehow I missed it. I swear I was there, looking around, waiting for some one to make some type of announcement or hold a sign or something. No dice. But when I called the lady (who was very nice btw) with the company, I was told that 12 other people were had been picked up and they all made the tour! Was the tour walking or riding on a bus? Just curious. One problem could be that Sacks fifth avenue has at least 2 exits. Perhaps in future you could specify which one? I was walking back and forth between them, so as not to miss the tour, and maybe I missed the tour that way? Also, maybe you could have your tour person make some kind of announcement or something to ensure that everyone gets picked up? I guess if no one else has this problem then maybe it's me. :) Anyway, have a nice life.

my friend and i recently went on the union square chocolate tour. bert, our guide, was fun and personable. it felt like it wasn't so much a tour with a guide than some friends walking around nyc. the chocolate was delicious and so were the other pastries we were able to try. we had a great time

What a great way to celebrate my mom's "special" birthday! We learned so much and I will never look, taste or smell chocolate the same way. We had a knowledgeable and patient guide and it was truly great fun! I recommend it highly.

The group was small and the guide absolutely lovely. The guide had readjusted the venues which we would visit based on the date on which we were going and it worked out perfectly. NO ONE KNOWS MORE ABOUT CHOCOLATE THAN HE DID! it was just so absolutely pleasant that I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in chocolate. Not only were we provided with tasty chocolate, but also with a bit of history to each venue we visited along with explanations regarding the individual chocolates. I was floored when our guide was able to recommend to us in which order we should eat our chocolate for full taste effect along with which way around(!!) to eat it to get the right taste. this was just absolutely enjoyable.

What a great tour, the chocolate tasting was great and our tour guide was very informative. We did mention that it was our 38th anniversary so maybe an extra piece of the deliciious chocolate (not candy) would have been special. Will recommend it to anyone. The chocolatiers were also very gracious and polite. Thanks
