The tour was just the right amount of interesting facts and wonderful tasting. There is a moderate amount of walking so wear comfortable walking shoes.

The chocolate was great

The chocolates were not just great but fantastic and the people in some of the shops not particularly informative, but friendly. The guide seemed rushed, and could have provided more information and background. If the weather hadn't been just about perfect for a December afternoon, it could have been pretty boring.

My family very much enjoyed our chocolate tour in Soho! Our guide, Carmen, was informative and enjoyable. She knows her chocolate and now so does my family! Even my 11-year-old nephew had a great time! Our thanks to Carmen!

The tour was an opportunity to do something truly different. Bert, our guide, was very friendly and knowledgable. He provided a casual approach to the event, which helped everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy the afternoon. All in all a great experience.

Thank you Bert!!! How awesome to find a tour unique for locals and visitors to NYC!! My 14 old daughter and I had the day off and I wanted to do something interesting and fun. This tour covered it! We know more about chocolate than we ever thought could be possible. Bert is so knowledgable about the process of making chocolate to the intricate aromas, and flavors. His suggestions were superb. We were able to freely choose two pieces from each shop and two of the five we were given hot chocolate.. each very different. Our small group of nine was diverse, interesting and fun. Bert set the tone at the first shop and we were able to mingle and chat walking along 5th avenue and vicinity. We highly recommend a leisure two hours with Bert . Thank you, we loved you and all that you know about chocolate!

I do not consider myself a "chocoholic" but this amazing tour through the beautiful streets of Soho could make me into one! The tour guide was fun and informative and he provided just enough background and insights. I would definitely sign up again and for other tours as well.

Loved this tour! This is the second tour I've had where Bert was our guide. Wow! He is just awesome! We loved everything about this tour -- great chocolate, great locations, great guide, great weather! Couldn't have been happier. I wouldn't hesitate to tour again, especially with Bert.

I always love walking around cities when I travel. But, not only did we get to see parts of New York, we also to taste and learn about chocolate! Bert, our guide, was terrific in answering all of our questions and giving us his opinions on what to sample! This was truly a unique experience and I would recommend it highly!

University of Chocolate

It's everything you ever wanted to know about chocolate. A great education about the delicacy. For example, chocolate comes from a fruit. At least, that's what I gathered. Guess it makes it an essential part of a balanced diet. Be prepared to tip the scales after the tour though, many chocolate samples later. Tour guide was extremely knowledgeable and very personable. Bravo!!! It's a must do while in New York. If you're going to eat chocolate, you may as well learn about. This tour pulls off both items rather nicely...

We celebrated a 50th birthday party in NYC and this was part of our trip. We had such a great time visiting the shops and touring the city. Bert was awesome! I would highly recommend this tour to someone that loves chocolate and is looking for something a bit different in NYC.

The Chocolate Tour was very good. We went to 5 different chocolate places and tried different types of chocolates and hot chocolates. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the different types of chocolates and also gave us some tips on things to do and eat in the city.

We really enjoyed the tour. We had a great guide who was very informative about where chocolate comes from, how it is made and the differences between regions. We tasted many chocolates throughout the day and found a couple of shops we would not have found on our own. I was not a chocoholic before this tour (I went mainly for my husband and daughter) but there is a least one shop I will have to go back to every time I am in NY. A couple of tips for those taking the tour, bring a bottle of water to drink in between shops and a couple of napkins.

What a terrific way to spend an afternoon in NYC. Bert, our guide was great, friendly, knowledgeable and down to earth. Favorite spots were Neuhaus, Charbonnel, and La Maison. Appreciated the extra touches some made in preparing for our arrival, showed terrific customer service. We learned so much about the process of chocolate making from the ground up. We most liked learning about the differences in mass versus private production. We now a have a whole new library of places to visit for a special treat. We highly recommend this tour for something different. I even recommend this for all gentleman younger and older as a date idea. Trust me, women love chocolate and this is a completely original idea... you will make big points! Mary Lu Katonah, NY

The tour was great! The tour guide was even better! He was very knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, and a pleasure to listen to. Lots of information on chocolate that I didn't know about, and the chocolate at each shop was wonderful.
