Our guide Bert was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgable regarding the making of chocolate. It was wonderful to walk the neighborhoods, get information about what we saw, as well as learn about the different nuances of each shops selection of chocolate. I will recommend it to all of my friends traveling to NYC as somehting unique and different to try.

Loved this tour! This is the second tour I've had where Bert was our guide. Wow! He is just awesome! We loved everything about this tour -- great chocolate, great locations, great guide, great weather! Couldn't have been happier. I wouldn't hesitate to tour again, especially with Bert.

TONS OF CHOCOLATE -- GREAT EXPERIENCE!

My boyfriend and I went on the chocolate tour during a weekend in NYC. We both love chocolate and were very excited about the tour after reading numerous positive reviews. We actually missed our original tour due to a delayed flight, but Bert and Carmen were more than willing to get us on another tour the next day. They were amazing to accommodate us! The tour was incredible and we highly recommend it for all you chocolate lovers out there! The tour goes by fairly quickly, there is minimal walking, and you get to sample NYC's best chocolates. I never thought I could have "too much chocolate" but this tour will surprise you! Bert was also an incredibly fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Overall, great experience and tons of fun!

I always love walking around cities when I travel. But, not only did we get to see parts of New York, we also to taste and learn about chocolate! Bert, our guide, was terrific in answering all of our questions and giving us his opinions on what to sample! This was truly a unique experience and I would recommend it highly!

Excellant tour with very knowledgable tour guide.

The tour was great. The tour guide "Bert" was very knowledgable about the content. We learned a lot of information about chocolate that we never knew. Especially regarding the various methods that are used to make the various types of chocolate.. (American, English, Irish, French, Belgium). You learn what tastes you like the most. All the chocolate was great. You do need to be a chocolate lover (as most of us are). You will definitely sample quite a bit of chocolate. All shops were very attentive to us. The walk inbetween shops was just enough. Glad the shops were not so close together after eating the chocolate in each shop. Terriffic job.............

Once again, Bert did a great job. This was our second tour with him, the first in Greenwich Village. He is very knowledgeable about the chocolate, the places we went to, and just about the CIty. I would definitely (and do) recommend these tours. It was a great 2 1/2 hours!

We celebrated a 50th birthday party in NYC and this was part of our trip. We had such a great time visiting the shops and touring the city. Bert was awesome! I would highly recommend this tour to someone that loves chocolate and is looking for something a bit different in NYC.

Tasteful Tour

Our tour guide, Burt, knew a lot about the process of making chocolate, its history and culture, as well as how to really appreciate it. We visited five great chocolate shops, got to try two piece of chocolate from each shop and, at two shops, had very luxurious hot chocolate. Burt was very personable and helped us to enjoy our 2.5 hour experience. My wife and I definitely recommend this tour for anyone who wants to try upscale chocolate and even just to learn about the chocolate culture.

We very much enjoyed our tour with Burt! He was very knowledgeable about chocolate and the history of the areas that we toured. We work for a chocolate company and were impressed by his knowledge of the products. The chocolate stores we toured were innovative, unique and absolutely delicious! We highly recommend this tour!

The Chocolate Tour was very good. We went to 5 different chocolate places and tried different types of chocolates and hot chocolates. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the different types of chocolates and also gave us some tips on things to do and eat in the city.

Lots of fun

We really enjoyed the tour. We had a great guide who was very informative about where chocolate comes from, how it is made and the differences between regions. We tasted many chocolates throughout the day and found a couple of shops we would not have found on our own. I was not a chocoholic before this tour (I went mainly for my husband and daughter) but there is a least one shop I will have to go back to every time I am in NY. A couple of tips for those taking the tour, bring a bottle of water to drink in between shops and a couple of napkins.

Chocolate tour was well worth it
Fri, Aug 14  12:00 PM sorgovan Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Other
The tour was great as was our guide Bert. He was very well informed and gave us a lot of information. We ate so much chocolate that even a chocoholic like me didn't feel like having any more after the tour. We did some walking but it wasn't too much. I would definately recommend the tour to anyone that loves chocolate.

Delicious and Fun

Bert was a WONDERFUL tour guide. My boyfriend and I were fortunate to be the only two on the tour. Bert taught us about chocolate as well as many things about NYC that we didn't know. We were visiting a friend who lives in Manhattan but since Bert had been living in NYC for so much longer he really had a lot more interesting things to tell us. The four chocolate shops we visited were awesome! We would have never found them on our own or had any idea how great they were. It was nice that our guide had tried almost all of the chocolates. Usually you want to try something new but don't because you don't really know what your getting yourself into. All of the chocolates we tried were delicious and the hot chocolate we had was BEST I have ever tasted. After the chocolate tour ended, our guide was kind enough to give us directions to a theatre we were headed to and even recommended a couple of his favorite restaurants- which we visited and loved. The money for this tour was well spent. Our stomaches were full from all of the chocolate. If you want to do something fun and different while in NYC, go on this tour!

Bert, our tour guide, was very knowledgable, professional, and polite. He made the tour a lot of fun. We had a small group which was a plus. All of the stops on the tour had excellent chocolate. Well worth the time and money!
