The tour was so much fun! I wasn't sure what it was going to be like as a single person joining the group, but I had a great time. Our tour guide Bert was awesome, not only knowledgeable but super friendly. I felt no pressure to buy from the stores we visited and I didn't feel rushed going through the tour either. The actual places we visited were very nice and welcoming, and Bert was very helpful in helping us choose which chocolates to taste and just answering our questions. I'll definitely look into checking out the other tours!

Great Tour

Great tour, very informative, learned a lot about the history of chocolate, where it is grown, how it evolved. Especially loved the tastings and pairing the chocolate with wine as well as the variety of types of chocolate and other pastries. We have recommended this tour to several of our friends who would like to take the same tour when next they are in New York.

A walking tour visiting 5 chocolate establishments, each very unique and different. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in the chocolate industry as well as the history of New York CIty.

Our chocolate tour in Soho

All the places were very good and unique and the tour guide was very knowledgeable, informative (answered lots of questions), and the area to walk around in was good to move around in after eating chocolate. The only other thing to add is to inform the public they will be outside for most of the tour. We had a rather cold day to walk around in. Otherwise a very good tour of chocolate.

I enjoyed the chocolate tour. The chocolate is amazing and the stores are adorable. However, the tour guide is amazing. I would take any tour that he gives. He is personably, charming, and hilarious. I recommend this tour HIGHLY!

Different from normal activity

Had a lot of fun, probably because, in order, (1) it was an activity of a type we would not normally be exposed to, and (2) it was interesting and informative with respect to its subject matter. As a resident, it would not normally occur to me to take a tour of anything. But there is a distinct and favorable difference between being taken on a tour and exploring something yourself.

This was a great Christmas gift from my husband.

I absolutely loved this chocolate tasting tour! My husband and I both had a great time sampling the various chocolates, and learning about the manufacturing process. Our tour guide, Bert, was very congenial and knowledgeable, and did a great job in making the tour a success. The shops that we visited had chocolates from different countries, each with their own individual tastes and designs. It was amazing how many kinds of flavors and combinations of ingredients there are. It gave us a whole new appreciation for the "art" of chocolate. There were seven people in our group, all of whom were very friendly, and bound together by the love of chocolate. We had a good time chatting with each other as we walked from shop to shop. One individual in our group was from Brazil and was in the chocolate manufacturing business. He was able to add to Bert's already informative discussions. The weather was cool but comfortable, the pace was excellent with well timed stops along the way. The chocolate was delicious, and just enough of it so that there was no guilt, especially with the calories burned by walking. All in all, a great experience! I really love my husband for giving this to me for Christmas!

FABULOUS Fun

The New Cuisine Chocolate Tour is about as much fun as one can legally have - and this from someone who doesn't particularly like chocolate! (I chose it as a birthday gift for a chocoholic friend.) The tour guide was terrific - charming, as full of information as enthusiasm, and a wonderfully pleasant companion and guide. The places we visited provided a variety of styles, architecture, and amibance as well as fabulous tastes, and the walk from LES to Soho was delightful. Basically two perfect hours.

I booked this tour but being the only person signed up, it was canceled (the tour requires a minimum of 2 ppl to run). However, I was offered the Union Square Chocolate, Wine & Culture Tour, which was excellent. The guide was very friendly and knowledgeable, which made the whole thing fun. The choice of ventures was good as well. I especially enjoyed the second shop.

Interesting but expensive

Obviously interesting as most people do not know a lot about chocolate. The guide was superb. Very well informed on the subject and charming. Hard to eat all the samples ( 30 $ worth of chocolate) in 2 hours.

The two hour tour was a delight. I had heard of the various chocolate shops in New York but had never experienced them. Our guide, Burt, was enthusiastic and well informed. He had done his homework and was quite knowledgeable about chocolate. The samplings in the five shops were extraordinary--tasting everything from coconut to chipolte, traditional as well as more unusual flavors. This was a birthday present to my husband and we all enjoyed it. Creative and unique!

I got tickets to this tour for my Dad for Christmas, knowing how much he loves and appreciates chocolate I thought this would be the perfect gift. It was. The tour guide, Bert, was both a delight to be around and remarkably knowledgable about chocolate and the histories of each of the locations we visited. There was great variety between the 5 chocolatiers we visited and they all had delicious chocolate. This would be a wonderful tour for anyone who enjoys chocolate!

Absolutely Fabulous!!

I picked out this tour for my girlfriend because as a New Yorker, I knew she'd never done anything like this before, and since she loves chocolate, I thought she'd really enjoy it. Bert (our guide) was fabulous! He was friendly, knowledgeable and fun to hang out with for those two and a half hours. Our group was small, only 8 of us total, and it was the perfect size.We learned so much about chocolate we'll never be able to look at it the same again! I sincerely recommend this tour as something fun to do on a Saturday afternoon. It was everything I hoped it would be, and more! She absolutely loved it! Now we want to do the downtown tour!!
