| I recently took this tour and was very happy with the whole experience! I've had some of the chocolate makers they take you to on the tour but had never been to visit them. It was interesting to see their facilities and chat with the chocolatiers. Our guide was fun, friendly, and very knowledgeable. I must warn you though, this tour involves a LOT of chocolate, you gotta pace yourself, don't make the same mistake I did... | ||||||

| I wasn't quite sure what kind of a tour this would be, but was impressed with the knowledge of the surrounding area that our tour guide had. He was charming and very personable. Except for the chocolate company that we visited that actually made the chocolate on the premises we had no contact with anyone other then the counter people who gave us the chocolate upon our arrival. By the time we arrived at our final destination I wasn't really interested in tasting any more chocolate. I love chocolate, but was more interested in the interesting information that we learned on the way. | ||||||

| What a great tour, the chocolate tasting was great and our tour guide was very informative. We did mention that it was our 38th anniversary so maybe an extra piece of the deliciious chocolate (not candy) would have been special. Will recommend it to anyone. The chocolatiers were also very gracious and polite. Thanks | ||||||

| I attended the Chocolate tour with my 24 year old daughter. We made reservations on line so really was not sure how it was going to turn out. I must say not only were we surprised but it was one of the major highlights of our trip to New York. This was the first time (other than 2 hours 7 years ago) we had an extended trip in New York. Our guide not only told us alot about Chocolate that we never knew he also gave us an asume tour of New York as we went place to place. We still talk about it and I tell all my friends that this is a must do tour when they go to New York. I want to thank you all so very much, it was great. Gary D. Jones | ||||||

| We totally enjoyed the tour. Our tour guide Bert provided us with much knowledge and information about chocolate and the unique shops we visited. We laughed, ate, and drank drinking wine and chocolate, which we all wonderful. | This tour was interesting - not only for locating fine chocolate shops that I would not have found on my own, but for the knowledgable guide. Bert was very friendly, interesting and informative. I was unaware of the number of different things one should know about fine chocolates. I would suggest making sure to eat something or have a starch filled snack with you since the infusion of chocolate sort of makes you "high". I enjoyed this tour and am planning to do another walking tour with Bert when we return to NY in the fall. | ||||||

| It was so much fun - I really recommend the tour to any chocolate addict! Two pieces per store may seem too few at first but the chocolate you taste is so rich that it is just the right amount. The tour guide was great: knowledgeable, fun, enthousiastic and very passionate about chocolate! Thanks for the lovely afternoon! | ||||||

| $70 dollars for 10 pieces of chocolate, I would say it is a little overpriced. We got to taste different types of chocolate, but I thought that we would get to see how it is made but we didnt get to see that. She said we would get to see how they made the chocolates, she pretty much took us to different stores and we ate chocolates, thats it...She was very nice, and was a good guide. | ||||||

| The Chocolate Tour was very good. We went to 5 different chocolate places and tried different types of chocolates and hot chocolates. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about all the different types of chocolates and also gave us some tips on things to do and eat in the city. | ||||||

| We absolutely loved this tour and Burt our guide! He was so sweet and personable and we had great conversation with him as we traveled from shop to shop. The chocolate was delicious and it was so exciting to see and sample all the different styles and flavors. It was definitely worth the money and we would highly recommend this tour to anyone! | ||||||

| I changed my mind about La Maison du Chocolat. I had gone there at least 20 years ago and was disppointed because there was no milk chocolate. But Saturday I found out they do, indeed, have milk chocolate, so I'll be going there (especially since Saks, my favorite department store, stopped carrying Neuhaus). La Maison was the highlight for me; Pierre Marcolini came in second. Richart came in last for me. I was disappointed we didn't visit Martine's (much better than some of our visits). | ||||||

| Took the gf for her bday - she loved it. I'm not much of a chocolate fan, but there were some delicious treats, interesting stops and leftovers to take home (tough to eat all the chocolate they provide). Our tour guide was great. I didn't love walking around midtown east in a group of nine people on a Saturday though. Certainly worth it otherwise. | ||||||

| My wife and I went on the European Chocoloate Tour as a gift for her birthday. My wife really enjoys chocolate and I thought this would be a great way to spend an afternoon. It turned out to be a great decision and we both had a wonderful time - here is why. First, our guide (Bert) was really awesome. He was engaging and informational, knew everyone at the shops and was just very pleasant to spend two hours with. Second, it was fun walking around trying different cholocates and learning why various countries have a different approach which leads to different tastes. Third, our guide was awesome. Seriously, I have been on many of these types of tours (various cities throughout the world and in the US and in different formats) but the single most important aspect is the tour guide. Plus, you are guaranteed to get Bert because he does all the tours. You will have a great time for a very reasonable price. We followed-up by going to a wine bar then out to dinner. I make this point to highlight that you don't gouge yourself on chocolate but you get enough great and different tastes to enjoy the event. I promise, I am not always so complimentary when I provide these reviews. This just happened to be a very good experience. | ||||||
