TONS OF CHOCOLATE -- GREAT EXPERIENCE!
Sat, Oct 10  12:00 PM deej666 Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Couple on a Date
My boyfriend and I went on the chocolate tour during a weekend in NYC. We both love chocolate and were very excited about the tour after reading numerous positive reviews. We actually missed our original tour due to a delayed flight, but Bert and Carmen were more than willing to get us on another tour the next day. They were amazing to accommodate us! The tour was incredible and we highly recommend it for all you chocolate lovers out there! The tour goes by fairly quickly, there is minimal walking, and you get to sample NYC's best chocolates. I never thought I could have "too much chocolate" but this tour will surprise you! Bert was also an incredibly fun and knowledgeable tour guide. Overall, great experience and tons of fun!

Our guide, Burt, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and really knew his chocolate, recommending his favorites as well as describing the choices that were available. All of the shops we visited greeted us cordially and we were treated to not only wonderful chocolate to sample, but lots of information about how their wonderful products are made. For lovers of chocolate this is a must.

My husband, 12-year-old daughter and I very much enjoyed our Luxury Chocolate Tour on a recent visit to Manhattan. Our guide was passionate about the topic of chocolate and he taught us quite a bit in the process of walking to the assorted shops on the tour. Great way to explore the upper East side and feel more knowledgeable at the end! The tastings were great too :)

As native New Yorkers, our tour guide Bert helped us discover some wonderful places that we never knew existed. We were particularly impressed with his knowledge and input, but most of all with his warm and pleasant personality. We enjoyed the fact that the size of the group was small, so that everyone was able to get to know one another and bond. And the chocolates were absolutely ethereal!!!! Thanks so much for everything, and we would love to repeat this experience some time again in the future.

My girlfriends and I GREATLY enjoyed our tour with Bert. If was very pleasant, easy to talk to, VERY knowledgeable, and made the day a great day. We learned a lot, had great chocolate, and are going to make this a yearly thing! Would it be possible to looking into something similar that would explore the use of chocolate in cuisine as a savory ingredient? We will definitely be coming back for the Fri tour (vs Sat), the new cuisiine tour, and the wine and chocolate tour. Thank you! Dana

We enjoyed each and every minute of the tour. Our tour guide, Bert, was very enthusiastic and friendly. He not only knew about all of the chocolates and their history, he aslo provided us with in depth knowledge of the city. We would defiinitely take this tour again and will be recommending to all our friends! Jennifer and David N. Ireland

Absolutely amazing!!!!!! Bert is the best tour guide in the world. Ask him about the toilet in the Chrysler building. One piece of advice, bring something to drink to wash down all the chocolate.

TRY SOMETHING NEW -- GOOD TIME

I highly recommend the NYC New Cuisine Chocolate Tour. I found the tour surfing the web for something different to do in the big apple and have no regrets for booking it. Our tour was a very small intimate group including myself, friend and the tour guide Bert. I found Bert to be extremely knowledgeable, personable & very friendly. We walked leisurely to 5 lovely shops in the SoHo area. At each Chocolatier we sampled chocolates, learned about chocolate, chatted and relaxed. I didn't really know what to expect from the tour and I enjoyed myself and would go back again perhaps in the winter when I can bring stuff back without worrying if it the confections would melt.

I loved this tour and so did my friends. At frist I thought it was too expensive but I love chocolate so I opened my mind and said let's do it. The guide ,Bert, was great and his knowledge of chocolate was even better. I WAS only a milk chocolate person before this tour. I tried the dark chocolate and was amazed at what good dark chocolate can taste like. Walking made it seem like we were following a trail of chocolate from one place to the next. I was very glad that we went and would do it again when we come back to New York

Chocolate, chocolate!!!

I found that the tour was a little too generic. Our guide was very informative on the different shops we went to, explaining the differences between each. However I feel that more demonstrations would have made the tour more interesting. Even if we saw the tempering process it would have been more than just eating chocolates. The other thing is we both found the time a little off. It would be more amenable to have the tour after the lunch hour.
