Our guide was friendly, patient, and willing to answer questions. All five shops we visited made exquisite chocolate, but several of the proprietors appeared to be annoyed at our presence. They had to be pumped for information. The very worst was the one in Rockefeller Center. We loved the Irish chocolate and the English chocolate best, probably due in large part to the wonderful and friendly reception we received. The tour gave us an opportunity to explore shops we didn't know existed and we were glad for the experience. The walk between venues was just right. I did feel the tour was overpriced for what we received. |

I didn't know what to expect "a chocolate tour" through New York. My friend and I saw lots of stores with Belgium chocolate and we were worried that we will be tasting Belgium chocolate. We're from Holland and we know how the Belgium chocolate tastes, so that wouldn't be nothing new.
But once we started we got so overwhelmed by the taste of all kind and different tasting chocolate, homemaid chocolate! And not to forget the very enthousiastic guiding by Lynsey! She knows alot about chocolate, the creative people who make the chocolate and the city.
In one word INCREDIBLE, in two words INCREDIBLE DELICIOUS!
And to everyone who's considering the chocolate tour> JUST DO IT!

I took my husband on this tour as a birthday gift. Lucky for us, it was just the 2 of us. Our tour guide, Linzi Jean, was fantastic. Since it was just us, she was able to spend lots of time telling us about the history of the chocolate shops, as well as other places in NYC. She explained the differences between each shop and offered her recommendations of tastings. The chocolates themselves were better than I expected; the tastes, the textures, each one unique and wonderful. At first you think "only 2 samples per store"..... we actually brought most of the samples home. I'll definitely be stopping back at these shops any time I'm in the city.
We'll also be looking to book the SoHo Chocolate Tour and will definitely be requesting Linzi as our tourguide. |

We highly recommend this tour for all you chocolate lovers out there. Our tour guide was very friendly and made it a nice relaxed atmosphere. There were only us two on the tour which made it more personal and enjoyable. This tour is different to the usual New York tours which is an added bonus because you experience a different side of the city through its various chocolatiere's. There were a great selection of various chocolates to sample at each chocolatiere and the hot chocolate at Lily O'Briens was out of this world! This tour is definately for the ultimate chocolate lover! Would recommend this tour. |

The guide made some great suggestions. I was amazed with the huge variety and the odd combinations. However, I was pleasantly surprised. I would have enjoyed the tour more if we could have had a behind the scene tour to see the process of the chocolates being made. |

We have previously taken the Midtown chocolate tour, so when we were back in town we signed up for the SoHo tour, and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves again. Our guide was friendly and knowledgable and provided good descriptions and suggestions at each stop we made. In future trips we will return to the chocolate shops we visited, but we will not return to the cheesecake shop. While the cheesecake tasted fine, that stop was out of place with the chocolate shops, and we witnessed an employee (owner?) berating our guide over not charging enough on the credit card. If there isn't another chocolate shop in the area to add to the tour, then do a different dessert location that treats others kindly. |

The tour was enjoyable and it was a nice way to spend time with my mother-in-law and sister-in-law. However, going into this I didn't know what to expect but I left feeling like I expected more. For the amount of money, I feel like we could have looked up chocolate shops in the area and toured them ourselves asking the shop keepers for information on the chocolates. The tour wasn't that valuable. Also, a few days before the tour, the company asked us to move the tour time later in the day to accommodate other customers. We obliged and were told we would be given something extra as a thanks for doing so. We didn't end up receiving anything special. I don't mean for this to sound totally negative, we did enjoy the day but it was more about spending time with my family. |

This tour was a great unique way to tour NYC and enjoy delicious chocolate at the same time. Our tour guide was friendly and knowledgable about all 5 stops we made and the chocolates offered. Most importantly my girlfriend loved the tour and all of the chocolate she got to sample. I would highly recommend this tour to any couple that enjoys chocolate. |

My husband and I went on the SoHo Chocolate Tour as part of our anniversary celebration, and it was a fantastic time. Even though we live in the city, we were only familiar with one of the places our guide took us. Our guide, Matt, was knowledgeable and easygoing. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. |

I enjoyed all the chocolates, especially the hot chocolate!! But I do think more should be included for $70. Ten pieces of chocolate and little info. The guide was very nice, and we had a small group (4) . I expected to learn more about each chocolate shop, their history, their process and the history and making of chocolate.
Instead we got info on the guides favorite chocolates and the texture of the chocolates. At the last stop she did pull out a book and gave some tid-bits of info on chocolate. More info during the tour would have made the stroll through the city interesting and worth the fee. |

The tour was a birthday gift for a chocoholic friend and it didn't disappoint! What a great chance to see Soho and try exotic treats one might not be daring enough to try on their own. Our tour guide, Bert, was awesome. He made the event even more enjoyable with his knowledge and great personality.
The only negative comment is that the last place on the tour, which was a cheesecake shop, was a bit anti-climactic after the fantastic chocolate shops we visited - however, the cheesecake was excellent! |

Very disappointing and super overpriced! Tour was a combination of visiting 5 stores, tasting all together 10 pieces of chocolate per person, 2 chocolate drinks, and a nice tour guide, we had very pleasant conversations with. However, we could have done this on our own, with-out spending $140 !!!! for 2 persons. The stores we visited was a combination of American and European chocolate makers. Two stores had VERY BAD quality chocolate ( American and Irish) As passionated chocolate lovers remaining chocolate samples landed in the garbage!!! We learned nothing new about chocolate, chocolate making or otherwise. Not recommended at all!!! |
