LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the chocolate tour. We learned so much about chocolate. Who knew?!?!? It was fun, educational, and best of all delicious. Getting to test all the delcious chocolates was so much fun. It's so hard to eat the stuff off the shelves now because this chocolate was so good. Our guide, Bert, was friendly, extremely knowlegdable, and made the afternoon delightful. We had a great group celebrating birthdays, anniversarys, and even an new engagement. It was fabulous. We would certainly recommend this tour and if/when we make it back we plan on going again. :-)

I read about the chocolate tour in the AM New York newspaper and decided to try it out as something different and fun to do for my husband's 30th birthday. The tour exceeded my expectations and both my husband, a true chocoholic, and myself had a wonderful time. Bert, our tour guide, was friendly and informative and the ability to choose the chocolates we wanted to taste at the various shops was awesome. I've lived on the upper east side for 7 years and had never been in any of the selected shops before this tour. I have certainly been missing out. The chocolate was of the finest quality and so delicious that I don't know how I can go back to the supermarket brands!
All in all the day was great. I highly recommend this tour for anyone who loves chocolate. It's definitely worth it. |

Through the years we have been to NY many times, taking advantage of several different types of tours available. A chocolate tour sounded very different and interesting so we decided to give it a try. We were very warmly greeted by our tour guide who was not only gracious but very knowledgeable about chocolate. He took the time to describe the way chocolate is created and how this differs in individual regions of the world depending on where the beans are produced. He also provided us with information on the unique ways that each chocolatier developed and created his own style for his creations. Each chocolate shop offered each participant the ability to taste two pieces of chocolate and were very accommodating to having us in their shop. I would highly recommend this tour to chocolate lovers everywhere. |

It was a lot of fun and me and my wife learned a lot. but we thought it was not worth the $70.00 if you did like at least 3 more stops. which would be 8 stops it will be worth the $70.00
I say for $50.00 is a better price. |

Bert was our guide and he was awesome. He knew his chocolate and he made us all feel very comfortable. He kept us at a nice pace, so no one got left behind. We also got to pick our own stuff and that is why I liked this tour better then another food tour I did. I know I should not have gone on a chocolate tour, but to be honest I do not crave chocolate at all, this was more something to do while in NYC. But now I know what good chocolate is and if i ever have a craving I will order the better stuff. |

Went with 5 girlfriends to the uptown chocolate luxury tour. Had lots of fun. Tour guide was great and knowledgable. The stores we were taken to were beautiful. The chocolates were delicious. We were able to pick out 2 pieces at each stop. That is plenty! The chocolates were very rich!! If you go in the summer bring a little bag with with with an ice pack in it to store your leftovers or to put any purchases in. A couple of the stops sold the freezer bags as well. |

My husband and I absolutely loved the tour. The distance between the chocolate stores was decent and the tour guide was very pleasant and knowledgable. We were sent to the incorrect starting point on our ticket, however, we were able to contact the tour guide on her cell phone and she pointed us in the right direction. It was helpful that her phone number was on the ticket, or else we would have probably missed out on the tour.
Overall we had a good time and are planning to go on the other chocolate tour offered in the near future. |

Burt is very personable and knowledgeable about all things chocolate. He also handles a small group of people well and makes sure that questions are answered. He conveys his expertise with enthusiasm! I tried all sorts of infused chocolates that were exquisite and have become a true dark chocolate fanatic. We plan to take the Soho chocolate tour next time we're in NYC. |

We enjoyed our chocolate tour immensely! Our guide (Carmen)was charming, very knowledgable and enthusiastic about chocolate and New York! It was not only a great way to see SOHO, but also a great view into the independent spirit that makes this little neighborhood unique and exciting. Definitely recommend this tour!! |

I'm a native NYer for over 30 years and decided to take this tour to do something different. I have to say I was really pleased with the tour. We went to a lot of places I've never heard before and got the background story on the shops and the owners. We also got to try chocolate at each place! Only downside was it was a little pricey, but you did get close personal attention and free chocolate so that was a plus!
Definitely check this out if you have time and you love chocolate! This is not a tour of Godiva! This is the real deal! |

Great Fun! Our tour guide Burt, was very pleasant and talkative and eager to share his knowledge about chocolate and the various chocolatietiers. My husband, myself and my niece visiting us from Ohio had a great Sunday afternoon enjoying every bite of the finest chocloate's SoHo has to offer. Would definitely recommend doing this tour. |

Bret was informative about chocolate. It was a relaxing stroll through SOHO stopping in to various chocolatiers to taste their drinks and candy. WOW! It doesnt get much better than that.
We learned about some of the owners, how chocolate is made and more about NYC too.
The other people on the tour were locals so it was equally fun to meet them and learn about living in the city.
I recommend this tour and the tour guide.
There was so much chocolate i had to save a piece to eat later! |

I changed my mind about La Maison du Chocolat. I had gone there at least 20 years ago and was disppointed because there was no milk chocolate. But Saturday I found out they do, indeed, have milk chocolate, so I'll be going there (especially since Saks, my favorite department store, stopped carrying Neuhaus). La Maison was the highlight for me; Pierre Marcolini came in second. Richart came in last for me. I was disappointed we didn't visit Martine's (much better than some of our visits). |
