Eat Chocolate Until You Explode!

I brought my choco-holic adult Daughter to New York from Wisconsin for her Birthday. We went on the noon traditional tour and the 4 PM SOHO tour. Bert out tour guide was excellent and very knowledgeable. It was a great contrast to compare the two types of chocolates. The walking pace was appropriate so everyone could keep up. We were informed as to what to expect at each shop. Even though it rained, it was an informative, exciting, fun, and tasty tour. We would go again and recommend you take it if you like chocolate-and who doesn't?!?

We had an awesome guide (Burt) and we were very informed in all the aspects of chocolate. Would recommend it to visitors as well as locals.

The group was small and the guide absolutely lovely. The guide had readjusted the venues which we would visit based on the date on which we were going and it worked out perfectly. NO ONE KNOWS MORE ABOUT CHOCOLATE THAN HE DID! it was just so absolutely pleasant that I would recommend this to anyone who has an interest in chocolate. Not only were we provided with tasty chocolate, but also with a bit of history to each venue we visited along with explanations regarding the individual chocolates. I was floored when our guide was able to recommend to us in which order we should eat our chocolate for full taste effect along with which way around(!!) to eat it to get the right taste. this was just absolutely enjoyable.

Our chocolate tour in Soho

All the places were very good and unique and the tour guide was very knowledgeable, informative (answered lots of questions), and the area to walk around in was good to move around in after eating chocolate. The only other thing to add is to inform the public they will be outside for most of the tour. We had a rather cold day to walk around in. Otherwise a very good tour of chocolate.

My mom and I took a chance on this excursion and had a fabulous time! I'd never heard of such a tour, but knew it was for us. Our guide was so fun and engaging and informative and relaxed- just a pleasure. I loved Maribelle's shop the best for being luxurious and having the best sipping chocolate. I liked the last place (?) because the other couple on our tour got engaged! It was very romantic and exciting. I would recommend this tour to out of towners looking to do something unorthodox, and also to local NYers looking for something new to do! A new way to see a familiar city.

Informative and enjoyable! I've been on chocolate tours before and learned new things on this one. The places we visited were a good range of different types of chocolatiers.

A fun alternative in New York

The chocolate tour was a great way to walk around some of the most interesting and varied parts of new york away from the main Tourist/Shopping areas whilst indulging on the best chocolate. It's a little on the expensive side but then you think about the cost and quality of the chocolate and its not too bad, plus the guide is entertaining and knowledgeable.

Our guide was fantastic. Very knowledgeable, friendly and engaging. His enthusiasm about the history of the chocolatiers and of chocolate was contagious. I especially liked that he was not a chocolate snob. In other words, he knew what he was about; but he felt that chocolate was to be enjoyed according to invidual taste. Really enjoyed learning about chocolate and loved the samples. Returned to one of the chocolatiers after the tour to buy more!

We enjoyed the New Cuisine tour as much or more than the European Tour a month earlier!! Burt was knowledgable and entertaining, and he made sure we all moved at a pace that worked for our group. Just like its neighborhood (SoHo), the New Cuisine tour was full of fun, unique, and full of delicious examples of what chocolate should taste like. We loved the close proximity of the stops and the enthusiasm of the chocolatiers we visited. Way to go Zoom! I can't wait to try your wine&chocolate tour!!

Our guide, Burt, was great. Very informative, fun, good sense of humor, and did a great job with keeping us on time and still allowing everyone a chance to wander around and shop. I highly recommend this tour.

What a fun day! The weather was soggy but no one seemed to mind. The luscious chocolates put us in a great mood. Bert ,our guide, was wonderful. He kept us informed each step of the way. Would love the address of his online cooking show. Great way to OD on Chocolate! I'm telling everyone!!!

It was one of the highlights of our trip

I attended the Chocolate tour with my 24 year old daughter. We made reservations on line so really was not sure how it was going to turn out. I must say not only were we surprised but it was one of the major highlights of our trip to New York. This was the first time (other than 2 hours 7 years ago) we had an extended trip in New York. Our guide not only told us alot about Chocolate that we never knew he also gave us an asume tour of New York as we went place to place. We still talk about it and I tell all my friends that this is a must do tour when they go to New York. I want to thank you all so very much, it was great. Gary D. Jones

My sister and I took the tour together. We found our guide, Bert, to be extremely knowledgeable about the chocolates and the places we visited. He was also very personable and enthusiastic. You could tell he loved what he was doing. The owners of the shops we stopped at were also very friendly. The chocolate samples (and we could make our own choices) were delicious. The next time we are in the City, we intend on taking one of their other tours.

Great Chocolate Tour
Fri, Oct 5, 07   12:00 PM Lustgarten Female 60-69 Domestic Tourist(s) Other
Our tour guide was knowledgeable, enthusiastic and personable. The vendors we visited were hospitable and the chocolate was delicious. After tasting really good chocolate everything else pales by comparison. There was a lot of walking, especially to the last vendor, which I chose not to go to because I use a cane. The weather was unseasonably hot and humid making the walking more difficult for me. I have already recommended the tour to my friends and family.
