I booked the tour for my girlfriend who's a chocolate lover. We both really enjoyed the tour, the chocolate, and the info provided by Bert, our tour guide. It was very neat to learn about the history of the chocolate and the shops. We had a lot of fun. Definitely a good date if your gf loves chocolate. Highly recommended!

Simply put, if you're interested enough to be looking at reviews, there's no question you should take this tour. The entire experience was phenomenal. I never knew such unbelievable chocolate could exist. Of course, you should come hungry- you eat a lot of it. But the tour was way more than just a lot of delicious chocolate; it was an experience. The tour teaches you a lot in a dynamic, interesting, fun way. We learned about the chocolate-making process, the history of boutique chocolate, trends in chocolate, and about the culture of New York City in the process. The tour guide was wonderful- he engaged everyone with a natural charm and grace, making sure everyone was having a good time. Needless to say, I'll be recommending it to quite a few people back home.

If you love chocolate and you have an adventurous palate, then this is the tour for you. Bert was a fantastic guide and my wife and I picked many chocolate combinations that involved various spices--delightful. These chocolate chefs will make it hard to eat regular chocolates again. I had a dark chocolate buzz by the end of the tour. Larry and Suzy Carmel, Indiana

Bert was a great tour guide both about chocolate and about New York City. The five shops all had delicious chocolate and we had a wonderful time walking around the Soho area. The walk is not too long if anyone is worried about that but it is very pleasant. Bert gets a 5 star rating and so does the chocolate.

was at pickup early but the tour missed me
Sat, Sep 20, 08   12:00 PM kb1381 Male 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Individual
I was there early, very much looking forward to the tour, but somehow I missed it. I swear I was there, looking around, waiting for some one to make some type of announcement or hold a sign or something. No dice. But when I called the lady (who was very nice btw) with the company, I was told that 12 other people were had been picked up and they all made the tour! Was the tour walking or riding on a bus? Just curious. One problem could be that Sacks fifth avenue has at least 2 exits. Perhaps in future you could specify which one? I was walking back and forth between them, so as not to miss the tour, and maybe I missed the tour that way? Also, maybe you could have your tour person make some kind of announcement or something to ensure that everyone gets picked up? I guess if no one else has this problem then maybe it's me. :) Anyway, have a nice life.

What a great tour, the chocolate tasting was great and our tour guide was very informative. We did mention that it was our 38th anniversary so maybe an extra piece of the deliciious chocolate (not candy) would have been special. Will recommend it to anyone. The chocolatiers were also very gracious and polite. Thanks

How to see the real New York.

We have been on two New York Cultures Tours and they have both been fantastic. Last year we did the Food and Culture Tour with Berry. This year we did the Wine and Chocolate Culture tour with Burt. As I have said ,both were great, Burt and Berry are excellent guilds. We have recommended these tours to our friends who have all a great and informative time on the tours. When we plan our next visit to nyc a New York Tour with yourselves is a must. Kind regards.

A fun time

This was a fun tour. Of course the chocolate tasted great and we were encouraged to try unusual tastes. Also, the tour guide was excellent and the tour was leisurely. We learned a lot about how chocolate was made as well as background on how each of the shops got started. The area of the city (SoHo) was also fun to see. Probably best not to do this tour in very hot weather.

The NYC Luxury Chocolate Tour was a really good time and highly educational. I have lived in NYC for over 5 years but had never visited any of the shops on the tour. Our tour guide, Bert, was unbelievable knowledgeable about the chocolates themselves and how they are made. I would definitely make a point to request Bert as your tour guide. He was amazing!

I went on the NYC New Cuisine Chocolate Tour and it was amazing. I tried all kinds of chocolates that I have never seen or tasted before and it was unique experience. I also proposed to my girlfriend on this tour and the tour guide, Bert was so helpful and helped me set everything up and it was perfect! I highly recommend going on this tour, you won't regret it! I am definitely going back on the Luxuxy tour next time!
