Choc. Cuisine review
Sat, Oct 17  4:00 PM KimSchueler Female 50-59 Combination Family With Children
We really enjoyed this cuisine tour of the Soho area! My son, who we were visiting, also enjoyed the trip. I would recommend that you bring a bottle of water until the co. provides it. It is a good idea to clear the palate in between choc. tasting. But what a "yummy" view of N.Y.

This activity was so much fun. We love chocolate and it was fun to learn more about it. Each store had a different flare and approach to making chocolate. It was fast paced and entertaining. I would recommend this tour. I ordered additional chocolate from 4 of the 5 stores so far.

Our guide Bert was enthusiastic and extremely knowledgable regarding the making of chocolate. It was wonderful to walk the neighborhoods, get information about what we saw, as well as learn about the different nuances of each shops selection of chocolate. I will recommend it to all of my friends traveling to NYC as somehting unique and different to try.

Excellant tour with very knowledgable tour guide.

The tour was great. The tour guide "Bert" was very knowledgable about the content. We learned a lot of information about chocolate that we never knew. Especially regarding the various methods that are used to make the various types of chocolate.. (American, English, Irish, French, Belgium). You learn what tastes you like the most. All the chocolate was great. You do need to be a chocolate lover (as most of us are). You will definitely sample quite a bit of chocolate. All shops were very attentive to us. The walk inbetween shops was just enough. Glad the shops were not so close together after eating the chocolate in each shop. Terriffic job.............

Once again, Bert did a great job. This was our second tour with him, the first in Greenwich Village. He is very knowledgeable about the chocolate, the places we went to, and just about the CIty. I would definitely (and do) recommend these tours. It was a great 2 1/2 hours!

Chocolate tour was well worth it

The tour was great as was our guide Bert. He was very well informed and gave us a lot of information. We ate so much chocolate that even a chocoholic like me didn't feel like having any more after the tour. We did some walking but it wasn't too much. I would definately recommend the tour to anyone that loves chocolate.

Delicious

As an occasional visitor to New York from Australia, I was looking for a new way to see parts of Manhattan that I hadn't explored before and the combination of wine and chocolate plus the pretense of exercise was irresistable. The tour leader was delightful; the group of a modest size; the tasting opportunities were engaging. Altogether, an enjoyable and succulent experience.

The best chocolate I've ever had...

Although the day was wet and gray, the group was truly great! Bert was very informative. I did not know there were such delicious chocolate shops in mid town. After the 3rd shop We had to save the pieces of chocolate for it did get to be too much. I liked this tour so much, I will be booking the wine and chocolate tour next.

Excellent tour.

This is a great way to spend a few hours in Manhattan, and the quality of chocolate sampled is superb. The only drawback is that with all the official samplings and a few extras thrown in you will be eating the equivalent of sixteen truffles in three hours. Pace yourself and plan on no further food that day, maybe even the next! The tour guide I had was top notch! Ken

My adult children and I did this tour as a celebration of a Master's degree graduation for one of my children. We had a great time. The tour guide was informative, friendly and pleasant. The chocolate and cheese cake were delicious. This was well worth the money!

My Mother & I were in NYC for a week as a "Mother's Day" gift to ourselves ! We had been to the City several times over the years & I heard about this tour on TV. After internet search, found the SoHo tour & was so glad we picked that one ! Burt was terrific, it ended up being just the 3 of us -- which was also great ! Kees was my favorite stop, We had no idea tasting chocolate could be so fasinating. Burt did an EXCELLENT job as guide. And we 2 southern belles were so glad we came on a tour right after his "tour from H#%$ " to improve the course of his day !! We had a great time, had some WONDERFUL chocolate & would highly recommend the tour.

Two years ago, I took my 12th grade daughter to the mid-town luxury choc tour and we loved learning so much about something so few really know about - the joys of real chocolate. Just last week, i took my younger daughter, now in 10th grade on the SoHo tour. The tour guide is highly professional and quite knowledgeable, and we were taken to some really incredible places we'd never have gone if on our own. The guide knew the people at each spot and was able to describe virtually every kind of chocolate and its taste which helped all of us pick those we liked most. This is a real, professional tour by a skilled and knowledgeable operator who has a well-honed passion for the best in chocolate. It is a memorable experience.

This is the second tour we have been on and it was great. We had the same tour guide, Burt, and I was hoping beforehand that we would have him again. He is very knowledgeable, extremely friendly and very personable. You really have a gem of an employee in Burt. We will definitely be taking another tour in the near future. Thanks.
