I thought I knew what GOOD chocolate was, until I took this tour! I love chocolate, I thought I had a wide variety of knowledge on the subject but as I found out on the tour I know very little. The Chocolatier's that we visited where full of history and each had a wide variety of unique chocolate to try.
Our guide Bert was awesome! He is friendly, informative and a great guide. He was pleasant to have a conversation with.
It is an all walking tour, but that is a good thing, it gives you time to rest between tasting.
I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS TOUR!!!!! AND BERT!!!!!! |

My wife and I had a blast. The tour guide was very knowledgeable and chose some very good spots. After 10 pieces of chocolate (2 at each stop), a few additional samples, and two double shot sizes of hot chocolate, we were ready to go into a chocolate comma. If you love chocolate, you'll love this. If you're looking to learn, and not eat, don't waste your time, as the chocolate fun is all about eating chocolates. A bit pricey, but if you can handle spending the money, you're sure to have a good time. |

amazing chocolate, lacking in education

when i purchased tickets for this tour i was extremely excited. i thought i would learn about chocolate as well as being able to sample. i was interested in the history of chocolate, the creation process, etc. unfortunately, this was not on the docket. even when i attempted to prod my tour guide, i received only limited information.
note that this is only a chocolate tasting opportunity. you do not get to see candies/truffles/etc being created or get to witness any processing. you visit 4 locations and get to sample 2 truffles (and sometimes hot chocolate). at the last location you get a cheesecake.
the chocolate was wonderful and i was happy to have the opportunity to try so many creations. but, given the lack of education i'm not sure how much i'd recommend it.
**i fully understand that my criticisms may only be attributable to the tour guide and not the tour in general.** |

I enjoyed all the chocolates, especially the hot chocolate!! But I do think more should be included for $70. Ten pieces of chocolate and little info. The guide was very nice, and we had a small group (4) . I expected to learn more about each chocolate shop, their history, their process and the history and making of chocolate.
Instead we got info on the guides favorite chocolates and the texture of the chocolates. At the last stop she did pull out a book and gave some tid-bits of info on chocolate. More info during the tour would have made the stroll through the city interesting and worth the fee. |

When I signed up for this tour, I knew it would be fun, as well as yummy! You can't go wrong with chocolate, but the tour was so much more fun than I expected! I went by myself, and the tour guide and everyone else on the tour was so much fun...I felt like I had taken the tour with friends! I learned a lot about chocolate, and now I know what chocolate shops to go back to when I want some really good chocolate!! :) |

The tour guide was a lot of fun. He knows how the chocolate is made, how it should taste, how it should be prepared, and he clearly loves it. He knows the neighborhood and all the people. He gave us great recomendations on what to sample. We had so many samples that we could not eat them all. Most we really delicious and many were very interesting combinations not normally associated with chocolate. We love to try new foods. This tour is great for those who love to experiment and for those who just want a lot of great chocolate. My husband and I were on this tour without children, but I think the kids would also have liked it. Thanks for a great tour. |

Lots of different types of chocolate to choose from; almost too many choices. The chocolatiers were very diverse which was interesting and the tour guide, Bert, was excellent and friendly. Nice locales as well like Saks, Bloomingdales, Rockefeller Center area and Park Avenue. No negatives to report; nice way to spend the day in the city. |

Our guide was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about chocolate. We went to five stores around midtown/Rockerfeller Center and tried different types of confections. At our last stop, our guide made some chocolates for us, explaining the process. There was no pressure to buy, we got a discount card at the end. We spent an enjoyable two hours walking and sampling. |

We enjoyed our chocolate tour immensely! Our guide (Carmen)was charming, very knowledgable and enthusiastic about chocolate and New York! It was not only a great way to see SOHO, but also a great view into the independent spirit that makes this little neighborhood unique and exciting. Definitely recommend this tour!! |

Had a lot of fun, probably because, in order, (1) it was an activity of a type we would not normally be exposed to, and (2) it was interesting and informative with respect to its subject matter. As a resident, it would not normally occur to me to take a tour of anything. But there is a distinct and favorable difference between being taken on a tour and exploring something yourself. |

I went on the chocolate tour around Soho with a few friends and found it so interesting. Not only were we enjoying amazing chocolates, but we were learning about it all the while exploring Manhattan in a new way. As a local who loves the city, this is a great thing to do with friends, a significant other or family members! Our guide Bert was so friendly and informative...I highly recommend it! |
