| Nothing special with this tour. The tour guide was friendly, but not knowledgable. She would not even give proper background on the owners of the chocolate shops or the history. The content was very weak.
You do not need to join this tour - just walk around the soho area, and watch out for chocolate shops around. Go in if you would like to taste a few, read a few broschures in the store to learn about the store and the owner. |

| Went on this tour with my recently high school matriculated daughter as part of her graduation present. The shops visited were very enjoyable/different and the samples delectable. Ended up only visiting 3 chocolate shops (not 5) but also a mini cupcake stand and a cheesecake shop so we weren't disappointed. The enthusiastic guide (a young lady hoping to hit it big as a film actress) was friendly and knew quite a bit about the shops but was not as well versed in the actual details of the chocolate making process. I should know since I was an engineer in the chocolate, coffee and tea industries. But most tourists probably wouldn't mind or care. |

| I took my boyfriend on the New Cuisine Tour this Saturday, at the recommendation of my friends who had taken the tour this winter. They spoke very highly of the activity, but I was disappointed with what we received for the price we paid. The description of the event on the website stated that we would visit four chocolate shops and a shop where we could sample chocolate cheesecake. Instead, we only visited three chocolate shops and our final destination was the "Baked by Melissa" window, where we couldn't even sit and enjoy the cupcakes (which were not at all in the same category as the chocolate cheesecake advertised on the website). I felt like the whole event was somewhat rushed (we finished in under an hour and a half), and the tour itself was not informative. The difference in what we would have paid to buy the chocolates on our own and what we actually paid was not worth one or two sentences about each chocolateer we were told. I am disappointed, because I know my friends who took the tour in February visited all five shops and were given cheesecake and I was really looking forward to the tour they described rather than the tour we received. I live in New York and was looking forward to taking future visitors on this event (or the other chocolate tours) but will not be doing so after my experience on Saturday. |

| Getting a tour of Soho while also enjoying the some unique chocolates was a nice spin on touring a local city. Our guide was knowlegble and energetic. The chocolate shops were all very unique from one another. |

| We visited five places in the SOHO area and got to sample two choices at each. At two of the stops everyone also got to sample an additional signature item. At first
I thought only two pieces wasn't much for the money paid, but I was stuffed by the end of the tour! My friend and I split our items in half so we basically got to sample four choices at each business. I suggest bringing along a plastic knife for this purpose if possible. The guide was knowledgeable and very enthusiastic about her chocolate! Be sure to take your water! |

| when i purchased tickets for this tour i was extremely excited. i thought i would learn about chocolate as well as being able to sample. i was interested in the history of chocolate, the creation process, etc. unfortunately, this was not on the docket. even when i attempted to prod my tour guide, i received only limited information.
note that this is only a chocolate tasting opportunity. you do not get to see candies/truffles/etc being created or get to witness any processing. you visit 4 locations and get to sample 2 truffles (and sometimes hot chocolate). at the last location you get a cheesecake.
the chocolate was wonderful and i was happy to have the opportunity to try so many creations. but, given the lack of education i'm not sure how much i'd recommend it.
**i fully understand that my criticisms may only be attributable to the tour guide and not the tour in general.** |

| The tour was a birthday gift for a chocoholic friend and it didn't disappoint! What a great chance to see Soho and try exotic treats one might not be daring enough to try on their own. Our tour guide, Bert, was awesome. He made the event even more enjoyable with his knowledge and great personality.
The only negative comment is that the last place on the tour, which was a cheesecake shop, was a bit anti-climactic after the fantastic chocolate shops we visited - however, the cheesecake was excellent! |

| My husband and I went on the SoHo Chocolate Tour as part of our anniversary celebration, and it was a fantastic time. Even though we live in the city, we were only familiar with one of the places our guide took us. Our guide, Matt, was knowledgeable and easygoing. It was a perfect way to spend a Sunday afternoon. |
