Amazing!

I'm a native NYer for over 30 years and decided to take this tour to do something different. I have to say I was really pleased with the tour. We went to a lot of places I've never heard before and got the background story on the shops and the owners. We also got to try chocolate at each place! Only downside was it was a little pricey, but you did get close personal attention and free chocolate so that was a plus! Definitely check this out if you have time and you love chocolate! This is not a tour of Godiva! This is the real deal!

A Sweet Respite

The New Cuisine Chocolate Tour was a great way to spend a Sunday with family in town. Two hours is the perfect amount of time and there was just enough anecdote peppered with education to make the tour interesting and not at all boring. We made some amazing chocolate discoveries in Soho that will serve as invaluble outlets for gifts -- or just plain chocolate cravings. Carmen is fun and knowlegdeable and I think my family enjoyed her nearly as much as the creme brulee chocolate at Klee.

Great Tour

For anyone who has the time, I highly suggest taking both this tour and the Luxury Tour so you can see the dichotomy of the types of places that are in NYC and the types of shops that are becoming popular. I loved three of the shops, one I was not too hot on but thats just personal snobbery preference for chocolate. The tour is much shorter than the Luxury tour, but no less interesting or flavorful. The tour guides are knowledgeable and interesting to talk to and not snobby or arogant, which you can get from the other food tours in the city. Highly suggested for anyone who is a tourist or a NYC native, it's a good break from the normal tourist junk. The area in which this tour places you at the finish can be great for spending the rest of your day as well.

Cancelled Last Minute
Sat, Mar 9  3:30 PM Dgraziano Female 20-29 Local Couple on a Date
They called me the day of my tour, 2hrs before the actual start time, to tell me it was cancelled. They won't give me a refund and I need to go through the actually company to reschedule. I would not recommend this tour.

Best gift for a chocolate lover!

I surprised my boyfriend with this tour and he could not have been more excited when he realized we were going to be eating chocolates all over SoHo. We visited 5 unique chocolatiers, tried their signature pieces and got to choose another piece to try. We had four different kinds of hot chocolate. The tour guide was fun and very knowledgeable and the shops were beautiful. It was a wonderful afternoon and completely worth the price. I will definitely be going back to these chocolatiers and probably be giving this experience as a gift to our friends in the future.

The New Cuisine Chocolate Tour

I took my boyfriend here for our anniversary because he is obsessed with chocolate. It definitely was worth every penny! We each got to try 10 pieces of chocolate. It might not seem like a lot but after the third place we were already full. This tour was very nice because we walked a lot around soho and the atmosphere was just lovely. Also our tour guide was very enthusiastic and really new her stuff. My boyfriend and I were the only ones there that day but it was an experience that I would recommend any body going on! Its a lot of fun and very informative. Its just something that you don't ordinarily do so its a nice experience!

Fun and different

My fiance and I went on a belated Valentine's day date and this was one of our activities. Lindsay, our guide, was great. She definitely knew her stuff about chocolate (where it comes from, how it's made and the differences in types of chocolates). She took us to five spots. We each received two pieces of chocolate from the 5 places we visited. As someone who loves chocolate, this was my fiance's dream come true. We got different types of chocolates from all 5 places. We're definitely thinking of doing this again in one of the other locations. It was worth the price (and the biting wind)!

A lovely Valentine's Gift

My boyfriend gifted this tour to me for Valentine's Day. We had a blast, and loved walking around. It would be cool if we got to learn more from the owners of the chocolate shops about their process and history. Other than that, we had a lovely time!

The tour was fantastic.

We got lucky, as it was just my girlfriend and I on the tour that day. Not only did our guide know what she was talking about, but you could also tell that she was a foodie in general and loved chocolates as much as we did. She was the perfect level of talkative as well - not so much that we felt like we were getting a lecture, but also kept us very well informed about the world of chocolate. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who is looking for a fun afternoon in the city - especially because you get to walk off the beaten path a bit and get a taste of real New York.
