For two chocoholics, we were in chocolate heaven. Curt our tour guide was waiting for us inside the first store. We lucked out and had a private tour, since the other group had cancelled. That was good news for us, but not for Curt. I'm sure our tip didn't help him much, hopefully he got some of the $70 from our tickets. The price was nearly twice that of the Foods of NY tour we took the next day. For the money, this one was not worth it. Although we really enjoyed it, it was pricey. We went to 5 high end chocolate shops. Curt knew everything about making chocolates and knew each shop owner. He gave personal recommendations, but we were able to select two chocolates from each shop. We also got hot chocolate in one shop and sipping chocolate in another, as well as a cupcake. We weren't able to eat it all and started wrapping it to go near the end. It was a great tour, but if you only have time for one - I recommend the Food of NY tours - either Greenwich Village or Chelsea Meatpacking District.

A walking tour visiting 5 chocolate establishments, each very unique and different. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable in the chocolate industry as well as the history of New York CIty.

Obviously interesting as most people do not know a lot about chocolate. The guide was superb. Very well informed on the subject and charming. Hard to eat all the samples ( 30 $ worth of chocolate) in 2 hours.

As a long time tourist and one who often goes on tours in cities this one takes the cake and it is chocolate. I would caution you to eat some protein before this tour as the chocolate high starts early on this tour. By the second stop I was buzzing. All my friends want to go with me to NYC next time. Why? We can't resist the concept of a chocolate tour with a very knowledgable guide and goodies too delicious to describe. My only regret-I didn't buy a thing. I was way too busy enjoying myself. I will be back and I will be doing this again. Do I reommend this-Absolutely positively YES!!!!!

My wife and I love chocolate, so it was only natural to sign up for the New Cuisine Chocolate tour on our recent visit to the city. First of all, Bert was excellent. He was a great host and made the tour very enjoyable. Our five stops with diverse tastings exposed us to shops we would never have found on our own. Bert's knowledge of the NYC chocolate scene and his friendship with the shop owners and staff, gave us the inside look and taste of top of the line sweets. We highly recommend this tour as a unique was to experience the city and give your tongue a memorable choco-orgasm!

Burt met us on time and we hit it off from the beginning. His suggestions were great and his knowledge of chocolate, New York and the culinary scene was enjoyed and appreciated. We have recommended the tour to all our friends and hope to take other tours the next time we visit the city.

What a lovely tour this was! We got to explore parts of New York not often on the visitor's plan, mainly the part between Little Italy and Soho, and learn some of the history and technique of chocolate making, all the while sampling some of finest (if not the finest) chocolates of New York. We loved the fact that all 5 of the shops were so different from each other, and in the smaller shops got to meet the owners as well. There were so many options of flavors to choose from. I would recommend bringing a small refrigerated bag with you if you go in hot weather, as you may want to bring some fo teh samples home for later tasting, and you certainly may wish to buy from the shops as you go...but either way, bring your appetite for chocolate as there will be more than enough of that for the day! By the way, our guide was bert, and he was absolutely delightful.
