Great Views and Very Nice Boat...and Great Service

We take all of our family and friends on the Naples Princess when they visit and this was once again a great cruise. We truly enjoy the quality of the boat, the service is always wonderful. My only less than positive feedback would be the quality of the food served on the Sunset and hors de oeuvres cruise. It was very low quality and the cheese rubbery and all other items like egg rolls seemed like they just came from a bag in the freezer. We will most likely not spend the extra money to book with food again.

Beautiful ship with great views of Gulf of Mexico

We went on a rainy night, but clouds soon broke up and had a beautiful sunset. Enjoyed watching the dophins, stingrays, and birds. The ship was beautiful and rode smoothly. It was difficult to hear captain describing the area. The food was good, however it was all meat choices, besides the bread with a dip. It would have been nice to have a vegetable tray. Really liked being able to make reservations online.

Extremely satisfied with the food and sunset trip. Nothing like a Florida sunset. Not sure, but I think I saw the Green Flash. Will be recommending this cruise for friends and family Dinner sunset cruise will be on our agenda for next year Hope the Mayans were wrong.

The sunset was great

We enjoyed the sunset, rainbow, and dolphins and loved the Gulf of Mexico! We could not hear the tour guide/captain no matter where we were on the boat. He was less than enthusiatic with a very monotone voice. We also would have liked to have been in the Gulf longer with less touring of the homes/mansions along the bay. The food was OK.

A pleasant evening
Sun, Jul 1, 12   7:00 PM kbennett66 Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Our family of three (mom, dad, & teen daughter) took a sunset cruise. The boat was very nice and clean and well kept. There two airconditioned decks, one that has some outdoor seating and one (the lowest one) that has seating at the prow, and an upper exposed deck. Seating was at a premium for being outside. Plenty of seating inside on the lowest deck (where the food is served), but not much of a sunset view. Inside seating on the second deck (where the bar is) is a bit cramped, especially when there is a line for the bar. Some sunset view from in here. To me, the best seating was on the prow, but the timing of the sunset (about 8:30 pm in late June) meant that the boat had already turned towards shore (east) so prow seats for the sunset were useless. We ended up with the crowd on the upper deck to actually view the sunset. All the staff was very nice, helpful and knowledgeable. We were greeted at the parking lot by a nice lady who directed us to a parking spot (plenty of parking). Then we went inside and were checked in by another nice lady. The first mate greeted us when we got to the boat. The rest of the staff we interacted with were also excellent. The food they served was ok but a bit bland. We had meatballs, chicken wings, little finger sandwiches, some veggies with dip, a few pasteries for dessert. Drinks were good but spendy - as one would expect. We adults had a rum and coke, a strawberry margarita and a beer. Underage daughter had a virgin strawberry daiquiri. If the taste of the food had been a bit better I would have given this cruise an 5 star rating instead of 4 stars. I realize it's not like they hava a chef onboard - this is prepackaged food that they just heat and serve. Still, just one or two more tasty bites would have made the difference. As for the actual cruising - it takes nearly 40 minutes from leaving the dock to get to open water. And it takes that much time to get back. That means you are only spending 40 minutes out in the gulf itself on the 2 hour cruise - 20 minutes heading straight out and 20 minutes heading straight back. The boat does not go parallel to the shore. Having said that, it was still very nice and worth the money we spent for the evening. One more thing to mention - if you are trying to decide between taking the cruise with the food or without - they are both the same cruise. Those that wish to eat are given an arm band to wear. If you don't want the finger foods, pay the lower price.

good time, short trip, good food

you spend most of the time getting to the gulf, so you have ample time to see the expensive homes on the channel. Once in the gulf the trip is short and you turn back to spend time in the channel. the trip is worthwhile and we had fun looking at the homes.

A Perfect Way To View An Amazing Sunset!
Sun, Oct 10, 10   5:45 PM joecorreia Female 40-49 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Our family enjoyed this delightful cruise to its fullest. We sat in the bow of the boat and had the perfect view for seeing all of the multi-million dollar homes in Old Naples as well as the breathtaking sunset. The captain spoke just enough to give a little insight here and there. The food was delicious and the wait staff and bartenders were very congenial. We will be back next Columbus Day Weekend to enjoy this wonderful two hour cruise again...it was perfect!
