50 Minute Gondola Tour

We weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised! The gondola is much more beautiful in person, and our gondolier had a beautiful singing voice. It was magic as we rode under the bridges and his voice echoed. He opened the wine we brought, and served cheese and crackers. He was very interesting as he talked about his time learning to how be a gondolier, but we kept asking questions. If you want more quiet and privacy, he'll do that. This was definitely a first-class experience with personal service. If you're planning a marriage proposal, just be aware that one of the sculptures in the garden on the right is an upside-down man hanging from his ankles. I would plan for the bayou down further to pop your question. Our 5:00 mid-September time was a bit hot at first, but it soon became more comfortable. When we do it again around our anniversary in September, we will choose 6:00. We recommend daytime vs. nighttime so you can see the birds, black swans, and views of the park. There were several people who stopped to look and kids who waved. However, if you want privacy you may want nighttime. I'm not sure about the safety of the park at night, though.

The scenery was interesting and the music very enjoyable. However, instead of 50 minutes, we gondolaed for only 40 minutes. Considering the cost, it would have been better if we had cruised the full 50 minutes. That said, my husband liked this activity best of all the things we did in New Orleans.

This was such fun! The park is so beautiful. Our gondolier, Robert, was awesome. Cheese and crackers were provided and we brought our own wine. Robert provided the wine glasses. I recommend this to anyone visiting New Orleans.

A must do if you are looking to impress! Beautiful, romantic ride with an amazing gondolier!

My wife and I spent our 10th anniversary in New Orleans last weekend. After an awesome dinner, we took an incredibly romantic gondola ride at sunset. Robert was an exceptional guide, very personable, and humorous. The crackers, cheese, ice bucket, and champagne flutes were a wonderful bonus! We will definitely do this again. If you are visiting New Orleans for any romantic outing...this IS A MUST!

Robert , the Gondolier is a terrific host. The boat ride is a quiet, relaxing, and interesting tour of NOLA City Park. Lush beautiful scenery, gardens, trees, and statues are endless. Romance is the goal, and Robert truly hits a home run with every tour he does. Five Stars Plus .

I cannot say enough good things about this! It was great. We got some awesome pictures and it was very romantic! Worth the money!!

Excellent water tour of City Park, Robert was great, Just a suggestion, directions were not very clear and not too many prople know about it. tell future guest that you are next to the rental boats on right in park. (Red and White poles) Also if you take a cab call for it prior to getting back to dock, park was dark and a little scary while waiting for cab to arrive. Well worth the cost will do it again

Wow! We had an awesome time! So romantic!!! We celebrated our 25th anniversary in New Orleans & had a wonderful time on the Gondola Ride. Roberto was the best! Beautiful scenery, romantic music & a fun guide Made it an experience we won't forget!

Me and my girlfriends had planned a trip to New Orleans, we were looking for things to do and came across the gondola ride. I wanted to suprise my girlfriend and propose to her on our trip and i thought this would be an amazing way to do it. The ride was magnificent, we were able to bring wine, I brought my girlfriends favorite (Moscato) as we went along the ride. Cheese and crackers were provided for us. We had the last ride of the day and although at first I thought it may have been a bit late for that trip, it was still the most amazing experience in my life. we had the bayou all to ourselves, and with the wine and the music, it was the perfect setting for me to propose. i highly reccomend this trip if you are thinking of participating, you will not regret it.
