Nola Gondola

This is a great way to spend some time with that special someone. The director is a great guy and very informative. He played great music for us and was very nice. He would talk some but not enough to get on your nerves. It is worth every dollar spent on it. The gondola is authentic and very nice and romantic. I would recommend this to any couple that wants to spend some time together.

New Orleans took us by surprise! It is a city boasting Art, romance, great food, hospitality and charm. City Park is a short bus/streetcar ride from the French Quarter. It is a must see area! Nature and Art are joined together to provide a unique adventure. The gondola ride is a relaxing and romantic way to see the park. Take your loved one and journey through Venice in the Bayou. You won't regret it!

My wife and I were married the night before and I had arranged this Gondola tour the week before so it was a complete surprise for her. We both had the most AMAZING and relaxing ride through the park and he had even met us with cheese and crackers as well as glasses for our champagne. He provided us with knowledge of the park as well as the events that go on in the park. We couldn't have been more impressed or had a more amazing time! It was EXACTLY what we needed for the day after our wedding. :)

Had a lovely anniversary with my girlfriend. There really is nothing I could complain about. If you feel like relaxing in a very pleasant environment - go for it!

This was the best part of our visit in New Orleans. After awhile, all tourist places look about the same. This ride around City Park was fantistic!! It was relaxing and beautiful and informative as well as romantic. Whatever you do in New Orleans, make this a must see.

We took a ladies trip, left the husbands and grandkids at home. We picked the gondola as one of our outings because it sounded so relaxing. It was wonderful. We chose the evening tour and brought champagne. Everything else was provided. We recommend leaving your car at the hotel and catching a cab which is what we did. We were helped on and off the gondola and it was easy. The gondola operator was very knowledgable of the area and answered all our questions, poor guy, we had lots of them. He sang several songs to us which were very beautiful, he has a wonderful voice. It was very relaxing and was one of our favorite activities.

We had a great time on our Gondola ride. It was perfect timing as the sun was beginning to set as the ride was ending. It was so relaxing and just what we needed on our trip. I recommend it to anyone traveling to or living in the area.

My husband & I enjoyed our gondola ride through City Park. New Orleans is wonderful, but it can be exhausting... our time with Robert was just what we needed to relax & unwind!

Robert's thoughtfulness started before we left for New Orleans. Robert emailed me a few days before we were to arrive in New Orleans to give us the option to move our time up to have the chance to see part of the park during sunset. He told us the history of his Gondola before we set off on our water journey. He told us about the tradition of kissing under the bridges and this park has plenty of them :-) We were introduced to the resident Pelican named Bill. While going under the bridges Robert would slow the Gondola to almost a stop so we could hear the great acoustics that came from being under them. There was times my Fiance and I would be enjoying the peaceful scenery and times we would ask questions. Robert knew when to point out parts of the park and when my fiance and I were having intimate times. Its amazing how smooth he rows the Gondola around the park even through turns. The whole experience was wonderful and with Robert guiding us through the park he ended with a stop underneath one of the lowest bridges where he handed us safety glasses and chalk so we could write our names under the bridge along with names dating back around 2003. The safety glasses was to make sure chalk dust didn't get in our eyes. He was always very thoughtful during our ride. I would suggest this to everyone that goes to New Orleans. Even if it isn't for a romantic occasion it would be well worth the views and a different perspective of the park. If we ever get back to New Orleans we will plan this ride again. Being from out of town and having no immediate transportation Robert called a Taxi for us so we could get back to our hotel. I can't Thank Robert enough for the great experience! Job Well Done!!!

Although the gondola ride in City Park may be intended for couples, my children and I loved it. Robert, the gondolier, gave us information about the trees and birds we were seeing, took our photo with a beautiful stone bridge in the background, gave us chalk to write our names on the underside of one of the bridges we went under, and gave us a relaxing ride in his gorgeous, Venetian-made gondola through the beautiful lagoon.

This was by far the highlight of our visit to New Orleans......the natural beauty of the ride through city park at sunset combined with Robert's contagious passion and enthusiasm for gondolering as well as his amazing attention to exactly what goes in to making just that perfectly romantic trip far exceeded my expectations. This is something you just need to experience.....we are already looking forward to our next voyage on the beautiful Bella Mae!! Thank you so much, Robert for an unforgettable evening!!

We signed up for this trip through the advice of tripadvisor and was estatic we did. My wife and I enjoyed this activity and would recommend it to everyone. Robert, the tour guide, is very knowlegeable about the park. He points out to you about the various birds and statues that are located there and he even has names for some of the birds. The cheese and crackers along with the Italian music made the tour very special. If you take the tour on wednesdays, you can visit the city museum free.

My boyfriend and I booked the 2pm slot on a Saturday. It was by far our favorite part of our vacation! Robert was a great tour guide and provided us wine glasses (don't forget to bring a bottle along!), cheese, crackers and an umbrella since it was rather hot that day. We were both in awe of City Park's beauty throughout the tour and really enjoyed the cute tradition to kiss under each bridge. The music was lovely and the whole experience was just magical. I highly recommend booking the gondola tour! And if it's available, go for the sunset slot.
