Olde Towne Carriage Company

The carriage ride was an excellent way to learn more about the historic downtown district of Charleston and enjoy the quaint scenery. We went on the first tour of the morning and we the only ones signed up so it was a personal experience with jsut the two of us and our guide. I couldn't have asked for a better overall experience. I would highly reccomend this tour to others looking for something fun to do while in Charleston.

Our guide was amazing. I'm a local and learned so much. The city is beautiful alone, but with the guided tour made for an exciting and engaging experience. My out of town friends appreciated the history and awed at the beauty. Great experience!!!

We were given this tour as a Christmas gift by my staff. Having never been to Charleston I found the tour to be very educational and informative. Our tour guide was Bob and he did a great job of directing Jake (horse) on our tour.

Dan's historical knowledge and dry humor were pleasantly appreciated. Also, Dan's knowlege of where to go were more than just Horse Sense.

The day of our tour was cold and blustery - in the upper 30's. The tour company called us to see if we would prefer to come on a warmer day since we were the only ones scheduled for that time that day. Rescheduling did not work for us so they said they would open up for just us that day - what service! By the time of our tour, we had three couples and they hitched up the larger carriage. They provided us with blankets and gave us a great tour. We saw exactly what I had come to see. Our tour guide was great and had a good sense of humor. I would definitely use them again on a future visit.

The tour was very interesting and the tour guide pleasant. He provided alot of history on the city. At times he spoke too quickly and it was difficult to catch all he said, but overall, we were able to catch most of what he said. The stop at Palmer house was pleasant and the hostess was very sweet. Having more of a tour of the house would have been nice and more reflective of the tours sales description. For the cost, the tour was about what I expected. I would probably take it again and would recommend it to others looking for a bus tour of the city.

My family and I took the carriage tour on a beautiful Saturday in November. When we arrived at Olde Towne Carriage Company, we were greeted by very friendly staff. Our tour guide was Steve and he was very knowledgeable. I have been to Charleston many times and I still learned something new about Charleston's history from him. His horse was named Dan and he was a sweetie. I would recommend this tour company to anyone who is traveling to Charleston, SC.

I purchased group tickets then decided to upgrade to a single carriage tour. The people at Olde Towne Carriage where most helpful in doing this for me. The tour was a pleasure, the guide was a delightful young ,man very informative new a lot about Charleston and it's history .Had a great time would do it again and would recomend it to anyone.

It was our favorite thing of Charleston. Our guide was excellent & we enjoyed our horse Larry.

Our tour guide was very well informed, and the homes and buildings we passed by were rich with history. It was a very interesting tour -- the kind that makes you want to go google more history on Charleston.

This is a must if its your first time in Charleston. I had been there 2 times before and hadnt taken the Carriage ride and I now wish I had... Lots of information and very interesting.

What I loved most about this trip were the little stories that our guide told about each of the homes we stopped to view. It was also nice to take this one hour tour to get a feel for the lay of the land and ideas about where to tour and go see in further detail. Guide was very knowledgable and the workers at the departure station were very welcoming and friendly.

The carriage tour was definitely one of the highlights of our trip and I would definitely recommend this company. The guide was super interesting and easy to listen to. The check in was easy. Worth the money!

Driver spent majority of time talking about himself. Didn't learn too much about Charleston. Corny jokes, boring stories, a very unpleasant hour.
