For our first trip to Charleston, this was the best tour we could've done. For a repeat trip to Charleston, this is the best trip you could have done! The carriage ride was entertaining, informative, interactive and an all around good time. Glenn was our driver who was fantastic at bring historical facts to life all around us. Actually, the tour was so fun we took a second carriage ride two days later with Glenn again! This is a great way to see Charleston, and the pace is perfect for the city.

We had a great time and would recommend it to any of our friends.

Old Towne was the way to go. I am sure the other carriage tours are good as well, but we took this one, and it was well worth our hour!

You will love and appreciate this phenomenal ride around the historical sections of the city. It is informative and fun. It will also help you decide where you might like to go back to and spend a little more time taking in more detail. The driver of the carriage is knowledgeable and witty...you'll be glad you took this ride.

This is a wonderful way to see the city. The tour guide was very informative and interesting. I would use this company again. I highly recommend it!

Carriage tour - Charleston SC

My wife & I thoroughly enjoyed our carriage ride. When we arrived we had time to see all the horses in their stalls. The stalls were very clean and the horses looked well fed and healthy. It was a cold day (Sun.Mar.1/09) & we were provided blankets tokeep warm during the tour. Our guide, Glen?, was extremely knowlegable providing information in a clear and at times, humerous commentary. We would recommend this tour to others. Doug Fraser

I WAS JUST A LITTLE DISAPPOINTED THAT THE CARRIAGE ITSELF WASN'T A "CINDERELLA"-TYPE CARRIAGE. WE GOT LITTLE SATISFACTION TRAVELING WITH THE OTHER THREE PEOPLE - AND WOULD HAVE HAD A BETTER TIME IF THE CARRIAGE HAD BEEN JUST FOR OUR GROUP.

We all enjoyed the tour very much. I have one criticism. I called to reserve the entire carrriage. I was told the carriage held 13 people. I paid for 13 people so that our group would be the only group on the tour. When we arrived, they already had 2 people in our carriage that did not belong to our group. We had 2 people cancel at the last minute, so space was not the issue. I was never offered a refund for the 2 individuals who did not show and your company received payment from 2 others and put them in the carriage that I reserved for our group. The people were very nice. I did not make a big deal, however, I was very surprised to see additional people paying for seats I already paid for..... KB

The ride was great, and our guide did a good job giving details. The problem was understanding what he was saying. I don't know if he was putting on the southern draw extra thick, which is doubtful since we are from Alabama. He had such an accent, we only understood about 1/2 - 1/3 of what he said. If he would work on speaking much clearer, it would be an excellent tour. Overall a 7.5/10. Make it understandable, and you are at 9/10.

The tour was awesome. The guide was great, knowledgable, and enthusiactic.

My husband and I had not been to Charleston before, and this was a wonderful way to see the homes and hear about the history of such a beautiful place....

Rebel (I believe was name of our tour guide) and Chief provided an excellent tour that was both educational and entertaining. She really knew her subject and it showed that she enjoyed her job. The staff at the stable very courteous and accommodating.
