Central Park Movie Sites

I have never been to Central Park before, so my girlfriend thought it'd be a good idea to go on a tour rather than us having to navigate ourselves (she had to use a GPS once to get through the park). The guide was very informative about the history of the park and sites around it. Also, it was interesting to match a place with what we've seen in movies/heard about. The tour does go on no matter what the weather is, but I don't think the tour would be quite as enjoyable if it wasn't nice weather. It lasted about two hours but you don't really feel like you're walking for that long. There's a few breaks in between and it's still intriguing enough so you're not just daydreaming. I definitely recommend it if you're new to the city, have never been to the park before, or if you're a movie/tv/music lover and want to enjoy a nice walk.

We'd been to Central Park before, but this was a great way of looking at it all over again, as it encouraged familiar memories of where you'd seen a place before or the feeling of some excitement that you were standing where a favourite scene/movie had been filmed. The walk was leisurely and didn't require a high fitness level. Our guide Paige was fantastic, really lovely, informative and very easy to talk to. I'd definitely recommend it.

Paige (a soon to be famous actress) had infectious enthusiasim and great knowledge. She talked with a smile and happily answered any questions. This tour was excellent value for money.

My sisters and I really enjoyed our Central Park Movie Site tour. First of all, the weather was absolutely perfect. The park was lovely....Fall was in full color. When our tour began, we wondered if our tour guide, Bianca, would use something to amplify her voice. She did not....and, after entering the park, we could clearly hear her as she described locations and the productions that were filmed at each stop. She included park history, past and current film/tv information.....and did it all with enthusiasm and knowledge. We absolutely enjoyed our tour and the chance to walk safely through the park. Having lived in NYC in the '60's, we were continually warned never to walk into the park. This is the first time I went past the front entry.....it was awsome! Thank you for this wonderful experience.

Bianca, our guide was lovely, good clear speaker, full of knowledge about the park itself and not just the movies shot there. Highly recommend this tour, instead of aimlessly ambling about yourself without really knowing anything about the sights in the park you are visiting, spend $20 and be shown around and learn some interesting and fun facts. So, so pleased we booked this. Easy to find and an easy walking pace, the time just flew by. Thanks Bianca!

Like most tourists, we've done the carriage ride in the park, which is an experience in itself, but does not compare to a walking tour. Our guide was fabulous with a winning personality and very knowledgeable about the park and the films featured there. We enjoyed the historical & architectual information about the park that she provided, as well as the film and gossip information. By all means take this tour the next time you're in the Big Apple, you will not be disappointed.

On our fourth trip to NYC (and as regular visitors to Central Park) we were looking for different things to do and, being a movie buff, I'm pleased we signed up for the Central Park Movie & TV tour. Our guide Bianca was lovely - informative and friendly. The tour lasts for 2 hours and covered about 2.5 miles at a good pace with plenty of stops including the Duck Pond, Bethesda Terrace, the Mall and the Dakota Building. The tour could have just been a listing exercise of all the shows and movies filmed at each location but instead you learn about the creation of the park and how New Yorkers use it now which really added to the experience. There is a restroom stop and what Bianca called a 'recreation stop' which was a lovely surprise.

Enjoyed the tour but it was very fast paced. The walking pace was fast especially for those of us who are a little older and maybe not as fit. I would highly recommend the tour if you are fit and able. Otherwise, this tour might be a little too much for some.
