ABSOLUTELY ENJOYED IT!!!!!!!

I WILL DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS TO EVERYONE. OUR GUIDE JESSICA DID A FANTASTIC JOB OF INFORMING US OF SO MANY THINGS ABOUT THE PARK AND ABOUT MOVIES THAT WERE FILMED THERE. SHE WAS VERY ENTHUSIASTIC, PATIENT, NICE AND INFORMATIVE. WE HAD A GREAT TIME AND WILL TELL ALL OUR FRIENDS ABOUT IT. THE ONLY PROBLEM WAS WE HAD A VERY DIFFICULT TIME FINDING THE STARTING PLACE AND MEETING THE GROUP. THE DIRECTIONS WERE NOT VERY GOOD AND WHEN WE CALLED - TWICE - THE NUMBER ON THE TICKET, THE PERSON WITH WHOM WE WERE TALKING REALLY DIDN'T KNOW WHERE TO DIRECT US. WE JUST GOT LUCKY IN FINDING THE GROUP AND THE FLAG THAT JESSICA WAS HOLDING WAS NOT BLUE AND IT WAS NOT A FLAG - IT WAS A SMALL GREEN SQUARE OF FABRIC. WE GOT REALLY STRESSED THINKING WE HAD PAID OUR $20 AND NOT BE ABLE TO FIND THE GROUP. THERE IS NO STREET SIGN FOR 59TH ST.!!!!!!!!!! AGAIN WE JUST GOT LUCKY TO HAVE FOUND THE GROUP AND TO BE ABLE TO TAKE THE TOUR. PRINT BETTER DIRECTIONS ON THE TICKETS!!!!!

My husband and I decided to take this tour because it sounded like it would be a fun thing to do for an afternoon. It turned out to be all that we expected and more, the tour guide, Kimberley was wonderful and funny, plus as a bonus she pointed out where some of the local celebrities live around the park. We saw a lot of the places where famous and some not so famous movies were filmed plus we got some exercise, and for $2.00 we rode the famous merry-go-round. All in all it was a great way to spend an afternoon, when we return to NYC we will be sure to book another tour with these great folks.

A wonderful way to visit Central Park

The guide was wonderful, the pace of walking comfortable. We could have used a little more time at the carrousel. We were given the option to ride the carrousel, but that was not enough tiem consdiering the length of each ride.

Well worth the time and money!

Our family of four went on the tour Sat, Aug 16, 2008 and thought it was wonderful. Central Park is huge and having a guided tour through half the Park enabled us to take in its magnificence and charm without being frustratingly shackled to a map to get our bearings. We just put our brains in neutral and enjoyed our surroundings! Ironically, having the movie sites pointed out was a secondary bonus and made each location come alive for us. Jessica was our guide and she enhanced the tour further by sharing history tidbits along with the movie site information. Also included on the tour is the Dakota Building and Strawberry Fields which is the tribute to John Lennon. Central Park is far lovelier and more enchanting than we ever imagined. I strongly recommend this tour and I give it six stars if movie buffs are in your party!

THE TOUR GUIDE

The tour itself was fine but all I can say is.....the tour guide (Kimberly)... I asked her a simple question before the tour began and she nearly jumped down my throat. I felt as if I had been slapped in the face! Those who overheard her remark couldn't believe their ears! I didn't give the tour guide a tip; I don't know if anyone did!

Great experience and value.

I really enjoyed the tour. It was an excellent introduction to the Park which is complicated and easy to get lost in. I carried a compass but was still a little confused and just followed the herd. There were a few surprises on the way as the park is always being used by the media!

Except for the heat, we loved it!

This is a great way to see Central Park. The park is huge, so it helped having a guide who knew her way around. Being movie fans, we had seen almost every film discussed. It was so much fun putting the film with the location. Not sure non-movie fans would love it, but we definitely did! Only drawback--it was 95 degrees!! The guide did a good job of keeping us in the shade when possible, but at the end of the two hours, we were all ready to get into air conditioning and find something cold to drink. Would recommend it to anyone to loves movies and/or beautiful parks.
