Central Park TV & Movie Sites

I have never been to Central Park before, so my girlfriend thought it'd be a good idea to go on a tour rather than us having to navigate ourselves (she had to use a GPS once to get through the park). The guide was very informative about the history of the park and sites around it. Also, it was interesting to match a place with what we've seen in movies/heard about. The tour does go on no matter what the weather is, but I don't think the tour would be quite as enjoyable if it wasn't nice weather. It lasted about two hours but you don't really feel like you're walking for that long. There's a few breaks in between and it's still intriguing enough so you're not just daydreaming. I definitely recommend it if you're new to the city, have never been to the park before, or if you're a movie/tv/music lover and want to enjoy a nice walk.

My family and I occasionally visit NYC but have never toured Central Park. In my search for tours, this was really the only tour I could find that would provide some insight to the Park's history; even it is only insight into "movies or television shows" filmed in the park. The park has bike rentals, which was not what I was looking for. This tour was guided by a young aspiring actress. Although she was very energetic, she repeated herself quite a bit about which movies and television shows were filmed in the park. There are a lot of statues in the park but none were talked about. Plus, the tour only covered about 1/3rd of the park. If you are a movie or television buff, you will enjoy this tour. If you want more insight or history of the park, this is not the tour to take.

I was very pleased with the sights we saw in Central Park and the desriptions of the movies that were filmed there. I was a little worried that it would be rushed and we may not hear the tour guide because of the amount of people in the group but shockingly surprised when she stopped and gathered us around each stop. We were not rushed at all during the tour. I have walked through Central Park on my own and would have never seen the amount of places that we saw on this tour. I would definitely recommend this tour for anyone movie enthusiasts or someone that wants to see major places in Central Park.

On a nice day, it's a good stroll through the lower portion of central park.

My husband and I have visited NYC many times, but this is the first time we've done a walking tour of Central Park. We LOVED it!!!! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and energetic and knew how to pace the walk appropriately for our group. She answered questions enthusiastically and was a very willing photographer all along the route. I highly recommend the Central Park Movie Tour!

Despite the weather, the tour was really interesting. As a local, I attended with my father who was travelling from Australia, we covered ground I had already seen but it the movie antedotes made it interesting. The tour guide was really good, very professional, entertaining and helpful. She was sensitive the fact that it was very hot. I would definitely recommend this tour to others.

My cousin and I signed up for this tour and it was better than we thought. Kim was an excellent guide and was very knowledgeable about the park and the sites. She was very enthusiastic and made the tour more enjoyable.

I liked the tour a lot. As a new New Yorker, my boyfriend and I wanted to take a tour to learn more about Central Park, with the perk of learning about the movies filmed there as well. The tour was great although it could have included a little more information about the park. I think our guide did a great job and was very enthusiastic. I would recommend it. I am planning on taking your Sex and the City tour next.

Lots of locations visited, with funny anecdotes etc. Great fun, as long as you're able to walk the distance.
