Founded in 1999, the company has accompanied tens of thousands of people past the doorsteps of their favorite television and movie characters. Straddle fiction and reality while you shop, eat and drink at the sites you've seen on the big and small screens.

On Location Tours has been featured in thousands of media outlets around the world, including TV Guide, Newsweek, Businessweek, Entertainment Weekly, The Today Show, HBO, and the Travel Channel's TV Road Trip.

The aim of On Location Tours is to allow people the opportunity to straddle fiction and reality, letting them feel as though they are part of the TV show or movie, ultimately bringing them closer to the characters themselves.

Activity Description
Spend a day of nostalgic fun on this exclusive sightseeing tour around the Big Apple. New York is the most filmed city in the world and we'll take you behind-the-scenes of some of your favorite classic films that feature the city. Experience the evolution of NYC on screen with our tour guides.  Not only will you get a taste of New York film history, but you'll receive a great sightseeing tour of Midtown and Uptown Manhattan aboard a private and comfortable bus.

This tour is equally fantastic for tourists and locals, families and groups of friends.
Your guide will entertain and inform you as you visit over 60 locations, including:

  • See the Marilyn Monroe's subway grate from The Seven Year Itch (1955)
  • Visit Holly Golightly's brownstone from Breakfast at Tiffany’s (1961)
  • Sit on Woody Allen & Diane Keaton's bench from Manhattan (1979)
  • Visit Grand Central, seen in The Godfather (1972) and Superman (1978)
  • Admire the Plaza Hotel, as seen in The Way We Were (1973)
  • Check out locations from Taxi Driver (1976) and Marathon Man (1976)
This tour also provides a fun, unique way to explore Manhattan, for those that want a sightseeing tour with an entertainment twist. We start out at a central location near Central Park and head uptown from there.
