Sex and the City Tour auf Deutsch

Meine Freundin und ich haben vor einer Woche an der Tour teilgenommen. Saskia - unser Tour Guide - ist, wie wir auch, aus Berlin und hat mit viel Witz und Charme die kleinen und großen Stories zu den Locations, Hauptfiguren und Darstellern zum Besten gegeben. Wir fühlten uns wie die SATC Mädels als wir durch den Meatpacking-District schlenderten, auf Carries Eingangsstufen zum Appartement saßen, die von Saskia gesponserten Cupcakes gegessen haben, Charlottes "Rammler" im Sexshop der Serie suchten und schließlich einen "Cosmopolitan" in Steve und Aidan's Bar tranken......Ganz nebenbei haben wir auf der Fahrt durch New York völlig neue Plätze und Gegenden kennen gelernt und sind dem "american way of life" durch die vielen Geschichten und Geschichtchen ein ganzes Stück näher gekommen! Uns bleibt nur zu sagen: THANKS FOR A WONDERFUL DAY!!!!

Die Tour ist echt spitze, auch wenn einem manche Illusionen der Serie genommen werden. Aber es macht echt Spaß und man sieht nebenher auch noch einige interessante Ecken von New York!

Qur leader was really nice and since she is from Germany, she knows our culture and what is different in our country. I liked the placec we have visited and enjoyed the clips on the TV you provided us with. And also the little jokes our leader Anja told us ( the prayer etc). The only thing I recommend is that the leader was hard to find at the pultizer fountain. Óther people that were waiting there were pretty obviously but I did not see blue flag that the leader was supposed to wear!!! All in all my mom and I really enjoed the tour and had some great hours!!

Für SATC-Fans: ein Must! Für alle anderen eine super interessante und überraschende "Stadtrundfahrt" der besonderen Sorte! Saskia, unser Guide (großes Lob!) paßt wie die Faust aufs Auge zu dieser Tour, redet ohne Pause und gibt ihr reichhaltiges Wissen über Storys, Klatsch und Locations preis, daß einem der Kopf raucht! Im Bus laufen derweil die Ausschnitte der Serie auf dem Monitor und versetzen einen in die "fiktive Realität" dieser wundervollen Serie! Wir düsen 3 1/2 Stunden durch Midtown, haben Stops zum Schauen und Schwärmen ("..da hat Carrie gesessen..." );-) SATC wurde an außergewöhnlichen Orten und ganz normalen Ecken und Plätzen gedreht, ich hab die Stadt bei der Tour nocheinmal ganz anders kennen und lieben gelernt! Wer mit Miranda, Charlotte, Samantha und Carrie gelitten & geliebt hat, der ist bei dieser Tour genau richtig!!!

We booked the tour in German as my visitor are from Germany, however we accidentally boarded the English bus. We realized our mistake and then at the first stop (sex shop) we switched busses. This tour was then in German, however we were extremely disapointed in the new tour guide. The English guide was witty, outgoing and very organized. She knew exactly what she was talking about and even seemed like she belonged in the show. The German guide (Saskia) on the other hand, never seemed to know what she was supposed to say and would point out sites as we sped past. She also told us a lot of stories about her own life (babysitting jobs, waitressing jobs, etc) that has NOTHING to do with the tour, and were completely irrelevant. This was NOT what we paid for! She even went as far as making the comment that all Americans are crazy and that we should hurry out of the "cosmopolitan bar" before they get there. (What she didnt realize is that I am an American who speaks perfect German, so she was making fun of me and I did not appreciate it.) The tour itself was very interesting and we definitely got to see a lot of the city and where the show was filmed. We would highly recommend the English tour, however we would warn anyone taking the German tour to save their money. Additionally the German tour was on a smaller bus where the TV screen was too far away to see what was happening in the scenes. The volume was also practically turned off. Another thing Saskia did horribly was with the SATC clips. She would play about 5 in a row, after we had already passed the locations without explaining them. (On the English bus the guide talked about the clip, played it and then we saw the location. Much better way of organizing.) If we could have gotten back on the English bus we would definitely have done so and enjoyed ourselves much more. We ended up sitting in the back so that we could drown out Saskia's voice as much as possible.

Die Tour war echt super, kann ich nur empfehlen. Jeder echte Sex and the City - Fan sollte die ganzen Schauplätze mal aus der Nähe gesehen, besonders begeistert waren wir von der Visite der Wohnungstür von Carrie....
