Combo: New York TV/Movie Sites + NBC Studio Tour

My mother and I recently took the TV/Movie sights tour and found it to be informative in a FUNNY sort of way. Our tour guide was Gary and he made the tour. The tour was very interactive and educational to anyone who loves tv shows and movies. I highly recommend this tour to anyone!!

We had arrived in New York the day before. None of our family had travelled to NY before but had heard of all the fantastic things to do. I chose this tour as an introduction to the city itself. I knew about the sights of many of our favourite tv and movies but taking this tour was the only way I wanted to see them all. The sights themselves are spread out over this large city and there was no way of doing this by ourselves. We found the tour really interesting and saw everything. Our tour guide gave us so much interesting information as well. We were very fortunate to have taken the tour on a public holiday which meant the city streets were not congested with people and traffic. We do thoroughly recommend this tour as well as the NBC tour which we did straight after. Thankyou to the staff for making this a worthwhile and memorable experience from the booking to the actual trip.

The tour was great! It was fun seeing parts of NYC that I'd never seen before such as St. Marks and Washington Heights. Our guide was terrific and the cookies were really good! I was disappointed with the combo however. I found the NBC tour not to be worth the money unless you enjoy looking at a couple of empty tv settings behind glass. But I am going back to NYC in a few months and I plan on booking the Sex & the City tour!

We spent a nice time in the tour. We loved every single place we were. NBC was not what I was expecting but interesting too.

I think this tour is awesome. The only down fall on this one out of the other three I have been on, you changed the pizza parlor where Men in Black were filmed as a point where we ate lunch. You are not doing that now, you need to go back to doing that. That was wonderful.

My friend and I went on the movie sites tour and 4 other tours while we were in New York. It was fine. It wasn't our favorite. I would recommend the Slice of Brooklyn Pizza Tour or the Grenwich Village Food Tour or the Sex and the City Tour over this one. The bus was nice, the stops were interesting. The tour guide was very friendly but I have to say that when she remarked that another reviewer had left her a negative review that said that she "talked the whole time"...that was exactly what I had been thinking. She was a nice gal but if anything, way too chatty. She needs to just edit. That's all I would say. She is apparently an actress and a very dramatic person/speaker by nature and, although the other tours I went on were actually longer than this one, they seemed shorter.

Our tour guide was Anna. She made the tour excellent. Very friendly and knowledgable about the sites in New York City. Unfortunately, she only does a few tours a month. If the other guides are like her, we definitely recommend taking the tour!

Bus tour with Gary was entertaining.

Gary is a good tour guide, he knows his movies and tv shows really well, BUT..the bus driver did not take avantage of being on the side of the road that the site was on that was being pointed out, he drove too fast by or the view was blocked by traffic. Which made one wonder what we were looking for. Also While Gary tried to accomodate non english speaking tourists he spoke so fast that it was at times difficult for me an american whose first language is english to undersdtand him because he spoke so fast , even when he was saying please if you cannot understand me stop me and I will repeat it. But if its always too fast then one isnt going to stop him and ask, especially if english isnt your first language. Gary was enthusiastic and a fun guy. But it was sad that we couldnt hear him well or see some of the sites we drove by..

The movie and tv tour was wonderful. We saw many interesting things and our guide, Bianca, was great! However, NBC Studios was very disappointing. We didn't get to see much and it was not worth the money.
