I'd just like to say that I highly recommend this tour. There were some amazing places we visited and the photo ops were great! The tour guide was kind, funny, and informative. I would highly recommend this to anyone who loves movies!

We enyjoyed our tour combo. We had taken the NBC tour before and it is always enjoyable and informative. The TV location tour was a fun way to see the city as well as hear interesting facts about the shows that were filmed on location. I would recommend taking this tour early in your trip so that you have time to return to the locations on your own. The only thing that seemed a little off was the stop at Rice to Riches. It was interesting to see it and we did go back a few days later to sample on our own but it seemed a bit too commercial to have it be a stop on the tour where you could buy food. I wondered if they gave the company a kick back for stopping there. Otherwise it was enjoyable.

We found our guide very knowledgable and entertaining (can't remember his name but he's the one who does some acting work). The bus was great and we liked the fact that you could see video clips of the movies which featured the various sites visited. One draw-back about the combo ticket is the hassle encountered in booking the NBC studio tour portion... there was nobody answering the phones, just a machine, which it tricky if you're only in town for a short time.
Rating: 4 Enjoyable but bus tour too long

Our guide was very good. My one recommendation is to shorten the bus tour. 3.5 hours is a bit too long.

We loved both the NY Movie bus tour and the NBC Studio tour. Our group consisted of 10 family members ranging in age from 8 to 70. There was something for everyone. Our tour guide for the bus tour was Bryan and he was awesome. He kept us entertained and informed for over 3 hours. The NBC Studio tour was great. We loved seeing the "history of NBC" film and the Saturday Night Live studio. I highly recommend this tour for anyone interested in movies or TV.
Rating: 3 On location tour was great - pity NBC went AWOL

I will preface this by saying I hope this was an isolated case, given the amount of tours NBC does.... The On Location TV site tour was great. Our guide, Gary, was enthusiastic, knowledgeable and loads of fun, and everything was explained well. The sites took in a range of movies and tv shows, which meant there literally was something for everyone. However, despite several phone calls, left messages and emails, I could not get hold of NBC to book that portion of the tour. I finally got sick of chasing them and gave up the day before we left town - that's after a week of chasing. Granted, it was Christmas week, but I never once received an out of office email and the recorded message never once said the office was closed. And so the overall experience was not as great as it should have been - and we found ourselves out of pocket, as we could have just booked the On Location tour and saved ourselves $30. Not happy. Just be careful when you book this and be aware that you will need to chase and chase and chase NBC. You may well be better off booking separately just in case the same happens to you...
Rating: 3 Tour was ok

The tour is ok if you are in love with movies. I wasn't super impressed with what made it as a point of interest on the tour from movie clips. The bus was comfortable especially on a cold New York day. A lot of the references were to what I would call obscure films and lots of classics that would be of no interest to kids or teens, which we had with us. I think I would have rathered take just a standard tour of New York to see more of the city's points of interest.
Rating: 5 Great way to see the city with kids

Tour guide was great, very enthusiastic, and knowledgeable, but weather was terrible and effected our tour: the bus was so fogged up, the guide had to keep passing a towel among the guests to wipe down the windows, so it was very tough to see anything.
