Not the best use of time in New York
Thu, Dec 4, 08   11:00 AM slstretch Female 40-49 Local Individual
Our tour guide Brian gave it a good effort but I found this tour a bit boring and bland. 3.5 hours on a bus looking at clips from movies and seeing where someone stood while filming was a bit too much. During the three times we got off the bus, it was to stand in front of stoops that were used in TV shows or movies. This portion was really drawn out as well. Maybe if I had never been to New York before, it might have been worth the ride for the sights of the city, but I was really tired of driving in circles by the end. We did find one worthwhile spot, they were filming "Uggly Betty" but we could not stop as it would have interferred with our movie clips and bus ride. By the time the tour was over, so was the filming. Now that might have been a worthwhile stop.

SO WORTH IT!!!!

My husband and I visited NYC for the first time and signed up for your Bus Tour. We are so happy we did it. NYC is so overwelming as it is and I think that we wouldn't have appreciated the city as much if we had not done this tour. Our Tour guide Jessica was amazing. She was incredibly personable and knowlegeble about not only the movie sites but the city in general. We Couldn't rave enough about this tour and have already highly recomend this tour to a few people who visit NYC yearly and will continute to anyone we hear is planning an NYC trip. I think the cost was perfect, if it were any more I wouldn't have booked but after attending the tour we felt that it was by far worth the cost!!! Thanks again, Mandy and Stephan David Concord, New Hampshire

The tour guides for the NBC Studio were great. Really enjoyed seeing the Saturday Night Live studio and the guide informed us on so many things.

TV/Movie sites top the NBC tour.

While I recommend both tours the TV/Movie sites tour was especially good. Our guide (Kimberly) was a wealth of knowledge and made the tour very fun holding our interest throughout. The "Men in Black" special was a real treat. The NBC tour was good as well but the guides were not as exciting and did not hold the interest of the tenagers and youger crowd. My wife and I enjoyed the history portion of the NBC tour but it was lost on some..

GREAT Customer Service!

I highly recommend this tour group, and especially this tour. The tour itself was fun and informative, and the tour guide was great fun! What impressed me most, however, is how they helped us in a bind. We got stuck in traffic and missed the departure, and they worked with us, despite some challenges, to get us onto the tour bus during the tour so we could enjoy it and not lose out on what we paid. At first, a mistake was made in regards to where we were to meet the bus, and they gladly covered the cab fair so we could get to the right location for the meet up. EXCELLENT customer service, and a great tour. If you like TV and movies, and you're visiting New York City, DON'T MISS this tour, and know that the team behind bringing this tour to you is VERY customer service oriented.

The tour was fantastic. Little worried about the cold, but with an enclosed bus and great guide we saw much of NYC from a comfortable spot. Highly recommended!

Good tour of a wide variety of the city

I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting the city especially if it's for the first time. On the tour you are given the opportunity to venture to different parts of the city from where you may be staying. For instance our hotel was in Midtown Manhattan and had it not been for the tour we would not have been able to experience the different parts of lower Manhattan including Greenwich village, Chelsea, Tribeca, and Lower Manhattan. The stops on the tour where pretty interesting and each location was followed by the video clip from various tv shows and movies. There was also a number of neat little facts that our tour guide disclosed about the city that otherwise we would not have learned. Overall it was an entertaining way to spend 3 hours and a good way to see other parts of the city that are not as easy to walk to!! I would however not as strongly endorse the NBC Studio tour. My boyfriend and I were extremely excited about this tour being we are huge SNL and Conan O'Brien fans. It starts out with a 15 minute video on NBC history which was somewhat interesting. Originally the tour information had told us that we would see 3 of the 5 studios in Rockefellar Plaza. On the tour however we were only shown the observation deck for SNL, which was really neat, but just not what we had expected. There was also a mock "dressing room" which was basically a room with a few head molds and a television set up to show you how they are made. And then there was a "NBC News Room" set up consisting of a fake desk where you could have your picture taken and a mock news reading. Overall, both of us were pretty let down by this portion. But to each his own! Hope this helps!!
