This is a very fun tour to see while in New York. Our tour guide was great and knew a lot about the city. You get to see a lot of really cool sites and learn some interesting tidbits about the city.

On location - great, NBC Studios, just OK

We really enjoyed our On Location TV/movie sites tour. It was a great way to see several different areas of Manhattan. The movie clips shown on the bus were unexpected, and a nice touch. NBC Studios just wasn't very exciting. I knew it wasn't guaranteed, but I was really hoping to see the set of SNL and we didn't. I would not recommend the NBC Studios tour.

The combo package was worth the money

The movie/tv location tour was very enjoyable and informative. Watching the clips after gives you an idea of how great movies are made. Our guide was pleasant and knowledgable.. We did the studio tour the next day. The guides were pleasant and informative also. It was interesting to see the insides of a studio. We were in a small group which was nice. I was hoping to see a star or two, but the sets were shut down for production. still, all in all, I woud highly recommend this tour.

This was a great tour filled with an abundance of inside NYC information regarging NYC movie & TV sites. The host was knowledgable and entertaining. It was also a nice few hours to get-a-way from the hustle & bustle of walking the city streets.

We thoroughly enjoyed Gary as our tour guide and would recommend the tour to any group. All ages are appropriate. I especially enjoyed Gary's wit and humor. He was very personable. This was my fifth time to NYC and first time on your TV/Movie tour. I enjoyed seeing areas of the city that I wouldn't have gone to on my own. The timing of the trip was very well organized with snacks and restroom breaks. Kids stated fun, exciting, entertaining, action packed and educational. Jordan was delighted with the cookie. Shaheen wet his pants from fate when he saw "Miranda", Cynthia Nixon filming on the street.

Both tours were great!

We enjoyed both tours very much. Both had been recommended to us by other Michigan travelers to NYC, and we are glad we were able to go on both. We had two 16 - year - olds with us, and I would recommend the tours for other families or groups traveling with teens.

A coworker (34), my son's g-friend (16), both my sons (17&13) and myself all enjoyed both parts of this tour because the sites shown were not only from TV shows/movies I had seen from way back but also current sites were shown. All ages can be enlightened with fun facts and sights by this activity. I have to say though since the employee leading the tour has a lot to do with whether the tour is exciting, we lucked out with Brian as our tour guide. He was ENERGETIC, fun, knowledgeable and helped us understand geographically also, what a plus! Only a female would mention that extra tidbit, right!! What a fun guy to listen to! My camera broke toward the end of this tour so I wish I had taken the video camera to use when our bus stopped for everyone to see some of the sights on ground. I had never tasted rice pudding and one of the stops provided this opportunity, in many different flavors I might add! Very good! Brian, thanks for being the awesome "you". And we appreciated that delicious tasting "treat" - I didn't have any racial wars in my tummy!! A big thanks to the bus driver for "ALL" the stops and your maneuvering through that traffic! The NBC Studio Tour was a great learning and fun experience, not only in seeing actual studios used for filming, but also cameras, video, lighting and sound. I do wish the tour guide could have given more info on these things. Thank you Zerve for asking for reviews. The reviews are VERY helpful in picking an activity to do in New York.

Movie/TV location tour was fab!

Brian our tour leader definately knew his movie trivia that's for sure. All sorts of interesting facts about all the locations, as well as some personal anecdotes too. We packed a lot of sites in during the three hours but suffered with heavy traffic on the last section so a few of us had to jump off early to catch a different activity in time. Brian knew I was a fan of Rescue Me so was able to point out a couple of places related to that show. Law and Order was another popular one with a few of us, so was good to note those locations Brian mentioned. CSI is huge here in the UK - especially in our household!! - so perhaps a few locations from CSI NY would be an idea for the future? We found the CBS Store after our tv/movie tour so we stocked up on CSI NY stuff as well! Good that some recent film releases were introduced, maybe more of their video clips instead of the older films which a lot of us were unfamiliar with due to our younger ages...! In general an excellent tour and i'd definately recommend it to anyone visiting the city.

More than I expected

I had an amazing time on both the TV & Movie Sites tour and the NBC tour. I really enjoyed seeing the Friends locations in the Village area. The highlight for me was seeing Christopher Walken and Bill Hader rehearsing for Saturday Night Live. And the tour guide for the TV & Movie sites tour was great fun. The guide on the NBC tour seemed bored, he wasn't very enthusiastic, he must have worked a long shift that day.

The bus tour was great

My Sister-in-Law decided that this would be great new way to see the City without walking everywhere. We were right. Our tour guide, Emily was awesome! She was not only informative about the different location that we were seeing but also about the City itself and some history. We really enjoyed the tour and absolutely recommend it if you are looking for something interesting to do in NYC. The NBC studio tour wasn't as impressive. Though it was neat to see where they film Saturday Night Live and we were able to see them rehearse because it was a Saturday. The rest wasn't that interesting. I don't think that it is worth the money and it is only an hour.
