Hats Off To Brian

I have to give a great deal of the credit to the tour guide Brian Taylor, his enthusiasm and knowledge of Movie and TV and the fact he went that little bit extra to ensure everyone got to see the sights made this a pleasurable and memorable trip which I would recommend to any one of any age. My daughter ,age 15, loved the TV part of the tour, my son, 18, loved the Film part of the trip and my wife and I ( I know I sound like one of the royle family) enjoyed not only the locations but seeing aspects of New York from the comfort of a lovely seat on a lovely coach. Thanks to Brian and Thanks also to Kevin for his wonderful driving.

Great Movie Tour--Average NBC Tour
Tue, Apr 1, 08   11:00 AM megastar Female 20-29 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
We really enjoyed the Movie/TV Tour- had an enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide (Brian) that made for a great tour. It was fun to see the sites in person and then see film clips on the bus that brought it all together. Being able to get off the bus a few times to walk and experience the areas was great. The NBC Tour was mostly a waste of time. The video at the start with a variety of clips from over the years of NBC was good, but the rest was pretty lame. Seeing the SNL set was cool, but that was all we saw. A short video on make-up and then a mock news cast rounded out the hour long tour. I would not recommend the NBC Tour. Definitely five stars for the Movie/TV Tour!!!

Don't know zbout the other guides, but Roseanne is really great, full of life and kows everything about new york. Don't go there expecting to take pictures of every locations or to remember everything, because there is just too much much information!! Just be ready to write down the locations you're the most interested in, and listen and look for the rest. I don't regret booking this tour, it's really interesting. We've seen all these places on TV and in movies a thousand times, and now we can say : "I was there!" Feels really good.

Roseanne Almanzar our guide was excellent, she was very friendly and showed us how to have a good time... we truly received a touch of all that New York has to offer. We would do it all over again...

It was the best Sunday afternoon you can spend in NYC! We saw so many parts of Manhattan we never knew existed, not to mention countless sites we've seen in our fav TV shows and movies. (The "Friends" building was amazing!) Thanks for a great experience!

thought it was great. the tour guide brian was entertaining. i think if i was more into movies/tv, i would have been more into it. it was still cool to see all the places from that perspective. one downside, i wish that zerve could book the nbc studio tour as well. we were unable to do the nbc tour the same day as the tv/movie tour and didn't make it the next day b/c of traffic. :(

Too much focus on Friends. Prefer other stops

Needs more diversity. The studio tour was alright but not much new. The site tour was too focused on series no longer relevant (off air and in reruns). Would have preferred more time at a shoot scene, more time talking with folks in the business.

The bus tour was awesome.............Movie and TV freaks its a must.............Don't waste the time , energy, or money on the NBC tour. Its a classic example of corporations reaching into your pocket for your last dime and leaving you feeling empty and extremely let down. Roseanne (movie tour guide) was a movie/TV information encyclopedia rock star. The nut shell review. DEANO $$^$$ KIMMY

Bring it into the 21st Century!

I have to admit I'm a little bit biased, coming from (and having grown up in) the LA area and kinda jaded about movie/TV sites, but my 13 year old son was pretty excited about seeing some locales from movies he's seen. I was at first really impressed by tour guide Brian but as the trip progressed, I realized that we were going to be treated to sites from a lot of movies from the 70s and 80s and the two stops we made were related to shows not even on the air anymore. Really, my son could care less about The Cosby show house exterior and while I was excited about the Friend's apartment building, he thought there was just too much about Friends and not enough modern movie sites. My son had me ask about sites from Cloverfield, and we got a snotty response from Brian that he didn't like destruction of New York movies and so he didn't see it. He didn't even believe it had been shot there, but he didn't know. (Maybe he should see the movie and realize that it might be great to point out all the discrepancies in locales; he seems to like to do this.) However, he went ON and ON about I Am Legend and that is a total destruction of NYC movie...in any case, my son was kind of embarrassed by Brian's put down. In the end, we had a lot of traffic to deal with and the walking part of the tour was cut short. It was a nice tour of the city and I kind of got my bearings about neighborhoods from it, but my son was really disappointed. I'd suggest updating the references and locales for the younger customers or maybe doing a separate tour for the IPod generation. He was thrilled by the way by the NBC studio tour and the SNL set. Christopher Walken walked right by our group. Woo Hoo! More cowbell...
