Very enjoyable

Shorter than the 3.5 hours posted -- which is good. 3.5 hours would be a little long, but I guess the traffic element makes it tough to know for sure how long it will take. Very enjoyable. Showing the clips of the actual movies/tv shows is a really nice touch.

Mame did an outstanding job on the tour. She is very knowledgeable and knows how to engage the group on the bus. She had interesting facts about the city, the SATC show, cast members and the locations. She makes the tour fun!

A little disappointing

My husband and I are big Soprano fans and were really looking forward to our tour. The weather was horrible which was no one's fault but we were unable to see out of the bus windows because of the steam that built up on the inside of the bus. Pictures were almost impossible to take due to this and the fact that we mostly whizzed by specific locations. The stop at the "Bada Bing" where we thought we were going to be able to pick up some t-shirts also turned out to be a drag. We paid $45.00 for a baseball hat and a t-shirt and were given the incorrect size. The lighting was low and we didn't see that we had been handed the wrong size until we were back on the bus. The information that was provided to us in the brochure was incorrect and the e-mail address is undeliverable. The cannoli's were fabulous! Overall, the tour was ok but not as satisfying as is advertised.

Highly recommended for Soprano's fans

Had a blast on the tour. The four hours flew by! I wish it could have lasted longer. Try to catch up on your Soprano's trivia before you come. The tour guide, having been a bit actor in the show himself, was very entertaining and knew everything about the show. All along the tour, he would ask trivia questions about the show and for some of the questions, he would award fun little prizes. I wish that we could have seen Tony's house, but it was too far out of the way. The final stop was at the Bada Bing. Spent a little too much time there. One final note: before boarding the tour bus, Vito is usually there to sign autographs. You will find him behind his car. Watch out for this! If you want his autograph or to get your picture taken with him, you are going to pay! He will greet you and then ask if you want an autographed picture. He also has some other items there for sale as well. It cost me $40. for an autograph and a 'Sopranos' license plate. I am glad that he was there and was able to meet him, but it seemed way too expensive for this opportunity.

Fantastic way to meet New York!

Visiting from Scotland (UK) my 16 year old daughter & myself prebooked this trip before we came on the recommendation of a friend. It was a great success and for Isabella the highlight of her trip to New York and for me, a fab way to spend my birthday! We are both avide fans of the show and fight over the box set. Our tour guide was Liza, who was funny, quick, efficient & caring, and we had a new driver David(?) who altho' new to the route and style of the tour got into the swing of things really quickly and added to the trip by getting out of a tight spot of traffic in real New York fashion! It was 3 & a half hours of laughs from start to finish with plenty interesting info on the programme thrown in for good measure. It was also a great introduction to New York. We visited bits we would definately not have found on our own & it made us much braver in how we visited the city. Now, of course, we have to watch every episode all over again to see where we visited and what we know. We will be licking the icing on the cup cakes with Carrie & Miranda, swigging back our Cosmopolitans and definately shopping with the girls. Great fun!!

costs more than other tours and attractions in area. Vito at bus location which was a major plus. Must be HUGE Soprano fan to enjoy completely. Lots of trivia questions and other useless info.

Fun-filled, recognizable scenes from movies & TV

The guide we had - Kymberly - was a lot of fun, very spontaneous and knowledgeable. It was fun to see how many sites you recognize from your favorite TV shows and movies. We even ran into a taping of Law & Order. Also, just a great way to see the town and familarize yourselves with the areas that make up Manhattan.

The tour was great. Lisa was our tour guide and she was very friendly and entertaining! I went on the tour with my boyfriend and of course he was a bit skeptical but he had a great time. It's a great way to see the city and you get to see all the hot spots of the characters we all love. The only thing I was disappointed in is that the tour no longer goes to Carry's house. I would recommend this tour.

Wanted to see the restaurant where the girls ate, but other than that, the tour was great. Can you bring similar tours to the Washington, DC area?

The tour was fun. We purchased the Miranda (dinner at Brassiere and Pleasure Chest). I would not recommend doing this. Dinner was a prefixed menu (2 choices) and mine was way undercooked. Also the tour guide didnt give us our Pleasure Chest. I would recommend the tour, but do your own thing for dinner !

The tour was great and our tour guide Stephanie made it even better!! She was very enthusiastic. It was fun to drive past or visit the different places and also view the clips from the show. The time went by very quick. I plan to bring my other sister on the tour the next time I am in NYC!!! A must-do for all!!!

Great tour for short city stays
Fri, May 6, 05   11:00 AM vpnivera Female 30-39 Combination Group of Friends
If you're only in the city for a short amount of time or you're not familiar with the areas, this is a great tour to view all the highlights with movie and TV trivia thrown in. Otherwise, buy a Metrocard and go out on the town yourself. I read prior bad reviews about Jessica as a guide, but I didn't think she was that bad...until the end of the tour..."just so you know". The tour promises to take you to the sites of various film and TV locations and it delivers. But the tour guide could really use a script to keep her from sounding so scatterbrained. Twice Jessica said she would do trivia with the group but then she'd forget because she remembered something else she was supposed to say. Also, since we paid to take a tour of these TV and movie sites, I don't think engaging the tour bus group in calling out the movies which featured NY locations is appropriate. It's like paying to take the SATs but then you have to provide your own questions and answers. This company also offers a tour related strictly to Sex and the City. I emailed and asked if the Manhattan Movie and TV tour would include any SATC sites and Erika emailed to say that I just had to tell the guide what my group was interested in and we may be able to get more information about it on our tour. Jessica told us that we had to pay for the SATC tour if we wanted more information. Since parts of the tour we were on were bypassed due to seasonal schedules (i.e. Soup Nazi store) I don't think it's unreasonable to ask for some substitutions. I doubt it would greatly impact your other tour packages. The cookies other reviewers raved about weren't that impressive. Black and white cookies can be found across state lines and they're not stale. Also, Jessica kept promising she would tell us at the end of the tour what movies and shows were filming around the city. She did give us the run down but did not give us any locations in case we wanted to scout out the sets. I believe that list is free from City Hall. We should get photocopies or the opportunity to write down some areas where they're filming. And she listed primetime sitcoms as still in production. All the sitcoms currently airing finished taping mainly in March and some in April. Get your facts straight before giving out information like that. Lastly, for those reviewers who said the movies referenced on the tour were too old, you've got to be kidding me. At least the movies are classics and have a decent chance of being recognized. And they appealed to both the older and younger crowds on the tour. Overall, we enjoyed the tour but Jessica needs more polish as a guide.
