On Location Tours

This was close to a waste of time. Not only was the bus very late-standing in 10 degree weather waiting was not fun-but the whole trip kind of sucked. You get to visit a few places for about 15 minutes (Scout, the stoop, a shop...) but the main portion of the trip is just a little finger pointing at a few places. The tiny bits of video shown were not well coordinated with what we were looking at-not edited well at all. There was no 'insight' into the show-anything she said could have been found on a website. We really didnt see that much-a lot of the trip you sit in silence. We were really disappointed.

The best part of the tour was the warm bus, which was the point (it was a sub-zero day), so I can't say it was a complete waste of time. But it would have been on any other day of the year. Due to an accident on the bridge, the bus was 45 minutes late, so we waited in the freezing wind (and then in the Plaza lobby) and got a late start. The tour guide, a not-terribly-bright aspiring actress, was neither clever nor charming -- she just stood there smiling, rattling off inane trivia from the show ("who can tell me what a 'goody drawer' is?"), passing out a recipe for Cosmopolitans and pointing to storefront shooting locations as they whizzed past. She wasn't really a tour guide at all (except for these few duties she was otherwise silent) and seemed to know nothing about the actual production of the show or the creative process of its writers and actors (her idea of inside information was of the gossip variety, i.e., that Sarah Jessica Parker found out she was pregnant on the day they shot that scene). Most of the three hours are spent watching pirated excerpts of the show on the bus video monitors (to see the NYC locations you have just whizzed by, or will whiz by later) and stopping at prearranged locations for half an hour at a time (sex toy store, clothing store, bar) to disembark en masse and shop with a 10% tour discount. With an hour of the tour left, I got off in Soho and didn't get back on. Like most arranged tourist events, it may be harmless enough, but it leaves you feeling like a chump.

The activity was good, it showed us some interesting sites from sex in the city, Carrie's stoop was great, and visiting steve and aiden's bar was great, great cosmo's. i would recomend this trip to those who have a good knowledge of sex in the city and enjoy the show

Thought the tour guide had a lot of positive energy. Enjoyed the cupcakes. Once it got dark while driving through the city we couldnt see much outside (even the city lights) because the bus' interior lights were on. I would reccomend turning those off to better enjoy the end of the tour.

I really enjoyed the tour. I do however, think that writing a brief description would be appropriate so when people contemplate buying tickets they know what they are buying tickets for.

We didn't get to see the spots that the girls are always at. Just places where they were at one time.

I thought it was a brilliant tour, the tour guide was very funny, well informed and really top class. It was perfectly timed, and going to the Bada Bing was amazing. I would highly recommend it to any sopranos fans, in fact when i come back to New York later in the year i am going to do it all over again!!!

Action packed - always something to hear or look at. Tour guide was engaging and friendly. Bus was first class. Satin Dolls was the best....

We thought the tour guide was very knowledgeable, very nice, and answered all questions. He kept the group totally enthralled at all times. It was very exciting going to see all of the sites that are on the show.

The tour is well-planned and tour guide Marc does a great job of bringing the Sopranos experience alive.

I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who loves the Sopranos. I've already told many of my friends and family how interesting it was to see all of the locations from the show. I also felt that the tour guide was excellent. He was very knowledgeable and answered all the questions that people had regarding the show. It's the best 35 dollars I've spent in a long time. Well, that and the last 35 that went towards the fourth season on DVD! You won't regret the trip

Four hours on a bus is a lengthy time for this kind of activity...unless it is an outstanding event. Just looking at the sites where the Sopranos programs were filmed becomes rather tedious after you do it for a while. The only touch of excitement and participation was the visit to the satin dolls bada bing bar. The tour guide was pleasant and conscientious in trying to create an enjoyable tour. The driver was very professional. All in all it was not worth the investment of time and money. You must manage a very professional tour company because you are asking for this evaluation. That is professional!. Thanks.

I would certainly recommend the Manhattan TV and Movie Tour to other people who visit New York - it was a really good experiance. Also, a great aspect of the tour was that you get to see a lot of different areas of New York that you would not normally get to see on a general vacation.
