On Location Tours

Hi I was on the Sex and the City tour on Nov 1st. My tour guide was Lou, she is an amazing tour guide and she knows how to keep the spirit up. I went there together with my best friend, we loved the show so we figured eventually we would want to do the sex and the city tour. We went to it not know what to expect, and it turned out to be so amazing! Both of us loved the tour and really enjoyed ourselves, the 3,5 hours went by so fast that we were sad to see it end. If you are looking for a good day out and money well spend then I and I think my best friend to would totally recommend you to go on this tour! I hope to go maybe on the Gossip girl tour to. Cupcakes were lovely and the tour guide very informative. She had little snippets of behind the scene info which was great.

The guide was knowledgable but as I'm not a huge film buff most of the detail went over my head! However my two daughters thouroughly enjoyed it as they were aware of most of the films etc referred to in the tour.

The tour was great fun. We saw many "hot spots" of NY. The timing was good and the guide (Emilie) was very very nice. To be highly recommended for those who love SATC, but also just for discovering very 'hip' places in NY. We had even an extra bonus: it was halloween and the time we spent in SOHO was amazing, seeing all those disguised people!!! Just 1 thing: we made the tour on a sunday and the HBO shop was closed that day. As we lived close to the 42nd street, we went back the day after and bought many souvenirs in the shop!

This tour was fantastic. I took my teenage daughter on this tour as she is the Gossip Girl fan. I had watched it a bit but I found the tour to be great. We saw exciting locations from the show and the tour guide was very informative and fun. The stops were great! Our favourite was Babycakes. A store we would never have known existed if it wasn't for this tour! Dylan's Candy store was amazing too. You also get a chance to shop at Henri Bendel's with a 20% discount voucher!!

I absolutely loved the Gossip Girl Sites tour! Our tour guide, Lindsay, was very enthusiastic and entertaining. I recommend trying to get her as your tour guide if possible. -Emily

I bought these tickets for my husband and I for his 25th birthday on Halloween. He is a huge movie buff and is inlove with the tv show "Friends" so it was perfect for him! Loved seeing the clips along the ride showing us the films as we were on sight. Thanks!

Whilst I didn't really know what to expect and thought that the video clips were great, there didn't seem to be any real fun on the bus. I felt that the tour guide Lou, was a great actress but as soon as she wasn't acting she seemed bored. I love the show, but would not recommend this to friends unless there were in a big group so they could generate their own fun and energy.

It was a relaxing day. It was a nice way to tour the city in the cold. the places we saw were not that impressive. a closed restaurant, ordinary sex shop. the group's energy was lame. Not sure if there's something the tour guide could have done. The lay out of the trip might have been nicer if it was the bar first THEN the sex shop so people had already bonded and were ready to have fun. Very timid crowd. perhaps some games with prizes, people love free crap. we had an international friend rave about the tour and said we needed to take it with staci rice. unfortunately we didn't get her even though we asked what tour she was on to try to get on her bus. again, the guide was nice. but for what the show is, it could have been a lot more fun. i'm a local but for mid-westerners there could really have been some stops and moments to make them feel they were living it up in the big city-in carrie bradshaw style.

I loved it! Very nice, we went to A LOT of key places from the show, and I LOVED our tour guide! The two down sides I didn't like how we were all pumped up and led to scream the "f" word as an ice breaker. Yes it's a raunchy and sexy tour but we didn't have to as a group scream that word, was not necessary. I also didn't like that there were children under 18 on the tour. For Sex and the City, the tour minimum age should be 18 and not 14, that is way too young for the content. Otherwise besides those two problems, it was too much fun! I loved Amy, and I think I'll take another!

Learning background information on scene setups was interesting and we enjoyed learning extra trivia about the series. Overall, I felt the tour was a little long and that there was too much merchandizing of products at the stops. However the tour guide was very good, well spoken and very knowledgable on the sopranos.

Great tour for anyone who is a SATC fan - the bigger a fan you are, the more you will enjoy it. Our tour guide was very entertaining and full of interesting behind the scenes facts about the show. The magnolia cup cakes were delicious, as were the cosmos! The video clips that were shown on the coach really helped us to remember the episodes filmed at each location...although it might have been better if the relevant clips were shown before arriving at the location instead of afterwards. My only negative comment is that we were not taken to the building used as Carrie's apartment - I've since heard that the tour is no longer allowed to go there, but this was not explained by the tour guide so anyone expecting this may be a little disappointed! Otherwise this tour is a great way to see New York!
